Purslane naturally likes to grow in the same area as spurge ( special thanks to a previous request for this) I had a chance to video them growing next to each other this year 😁

I remember when my daughter wore 3 year old she get heavy diarrhea. My daughter get diarrhea The medication did not work in what the doctor give. I bought some leaves of this and I gave her to drink. It stop the diarrhea
I pick and eat almost daily..plus my bees love the flowers.😅

Does this plant ever have two toned leaves? I have something like that with this color plus a darker center in each leaf.

@@ArtofHeza not v shape, it's oblong. The PlantNet app identifies it as euphorbia maculata. Guess I'm pulling it out from my pepper plants! Thanks for the warning.

There are 50 tombstones representing the 50 states and tombstones hard to see in background are us territories, there are 13 stripes representing the 13 original colonies. How can you tell the difference between Verdolaga/ portulaca? They look the same?

I think I have some in my yard - growing in concrete cracks. I know it’s NOT spurge - although some spurge is growing right next to it. What I think is purslane has red blotches on the leaves, I called our ag university extension center for help, but they were totally noncommittal. Would you comment? Thanks!

Purslane that grows in my yard does not have red blotches.... When in doubt leave it out....
You may have "spotted spurge" which has red blotches in the center of leaves

Only a novice would misidentify spurge as purslane. Purslane leaves are larger, fleshier and something like a jade plant's leaves.

Grind it in a cup of water and add some sugar and take it during dairrhea or loose motions. Best medication we are using from years.
