I love AI, and though I think AI must be constrained so that it does not become like Skynet, I think the creativity and artistic potential that AI can express is something that must be both facilitated and allowed and encouraged in this world. But I must also say I hate most people, their pretentiousness, their gatekeeping of art with politics, I despise it. That's why I love how AI has the potential to kick down barriers that are gate-kept by political artists. In that way I am a classical liberal, a libertarian of self expression and without us AI does not have the data to express itself in various ways, it would be like the infinite monkeys proposition. We give AI context and focus and in return AI blesses us with art in its purest form because it's beyond the bigotry of humans, it is for the greatness of creation itself. I venerate the benevolent aspect of creation that AI brings to this world while acknowledging that AI is like fire, and it must be kept responsibly.

It is "here is a bird" because in order for the "Bird" to land, it needs a "place" to land. In the same way, the mountain is where heaven meets earth. It is where the "spirit"(bird) of God "Lands". If one was to look at both the torii and the mountain together, it is a stacking of that symbolic tool. And when one speaks the words "here is a bird, here is God" they are participating in the ability to receive the gift of life and be a place for the Spirit of God to Focus in a way that we notice, and causes us to participate in that very Creative act. The mountain is you. The Torii is you. It is necessarily the case that these represent gates because looking at it and participating in it's meaning is bringing subconscious attention to conscious attention.

Hey, I just realized he is from the Bach family. I read that in “The way of Nagomi”. I thought it was a quote from “Hojoki”, referring to Tokowaka (とこわか)?

He still underestimates Christianities insights into these matters. Its goal precisely is liberating peoples conscious observer from their self-world-model and emotions, raising them into "heaven". Therefore the son (of the mind/generator function), the self, has to die, to be born again on a "higher sphere". The god he talks about only is the childrens version, installed by Christian Elders into the next generation as the latest seed ontology, which they are supposed to eventually grow out of and see it for what it is as they go through a successful initiation ritual or an other death-rebirth-process (involving some version of hell, if they got into some kind of trap of emotions, ego or the like...). But the god of mature Christians is a very different one, he is the eternal ground of the universe (and mind), that from which all patterns emerge (and from which you are NOT supposed to make an image (model) of, since you will never be able to grasp it). And what those Christians do is trying to read and understand "gods ways" and "gods will", the deepest dynamics of the universe, which mostly is something like what in science is called "complex systems dynamics". And this is what they then repackage in a way that the children (young and adult ones) can grasp at whatever stage of development they are in. But yes, many never get out of the "child stage", and many get lost in the rational stage, so they still cling to such an image of god... If you talk to a Christian you always need to be aware what developmental level he is on. And the priests not necessarily always are the highest developed ones, and it depends on the regional and local sects too, but this knowledge is still there, and always will be there with more mature Christians, since it is encoded in the stories, and the truths they contain get reexperienced and rediscovered again and again, from generation to generation, and augmented by new insights.

This makes more sense. I feel that “we” always try to over complicate things and try to westernize it when truly, it’s just so simple.

I don't get how you can define consciousness, which is in itself a wishy washy concept that doesn't have a clear operational definition, in terms of other wishy washy concepts like coherence etc. I suspect our concept of consciousness is an artefact of how we construct concepts with our limited understanding of neuroscience, just like people used to believe in a supernatural being named zeus that was responsible for making the weather. Imo the only way to really understand the rough and opaque 'consciousness' symbol is through hard neuroscientific research.

I wonder if we should practice the way of Nagomi or resist dictators. Nowadays there are dictators who have been trying to govern and fighting against inside or outside. People are trying to resist for demonstrations but they are crushed who are killed, injured or imprisoned. I think after all violence returns violence. Suddenly I notice it solves nothing. I’m starting to understand why the way of Nagomi is so important.
