I remember years ago when I first got this game for my PS2, it kept crashing for some weird ass reason. And then months after that, my mom got me another version- there are two versions of this game, by the way. It was the special edition. It worked a little bit better than the other one but it's still crashed a few times. However, despite this, I still managed to beat the game. I mean that boss fight with venom was pretty tough for my preteen self. This game was not really that good anyway. Spider-Man 2 was far more Superior. The combat was so nerfed compared to the last game. The swinging was just boring. Black Suit transformation was cool but pointless. (Web of shadows made that 10 times better) and the story didn't make a lick of sense.

Weird how they messed this up so bad after Spider-Man 2 which was really good.

The game play is good imo, this game just need better camera work and better voice overs. I remember an enemy was doing a super attack on me and I do my super flying kick and hit him first. One of my most satisfying goosebumpy gameplay of all time. I've always wanted to commander a giant robot and kick ass.

This game is even funnier if you know Swedish. In Swekia the room names are (translated) Anxiety, narrow, poop, hide and buy. There are a lot of Swedish easter eggs since it's made in Sweden.

EDIT: correction below: see the comment from @Latias38 Based on what I've heard about the Sonic Adventure VAs' experience, my guess is that the actors were haphazardly sent lines from the translator with virtually no direction or context. At the very least, that would explain why their inflection almost never lines up with the tone of the scene. Either way, this game looks pretty cool!

The concept of the game and the game itself isn't a bad one. Fight with your mech without damaging the bigger buildings that help fix the towns peoples homes aswell as more money to help you upgrade your mech as you help protect the people in the town

Its so wild the actual really cool game play versus the bullshit hilarious dub/writing. It combines for a unique one of a kind experience

I played this game, drunk off my ass in Germany, in an army barracks back in the day. I beat it, promptly forgot relegated it to fever dream status. It was nice to see it again. It's surprisingly engaging and novel.

The game for its time was ahead of the curve in my opinion. The voice acting was corny but the game wass good. The concept was great and wish they made a few more titles afterwards and build off it. Im glad i have this in my collection.

The whole mechanic of you being the human controlling the mech and needing to think about where you stand to get the best view of the fight is so cool. And as annoyingly slow as some the controls may feel, it really adds to the clunkiness and feeling you are moving such a massive bot. I wish RAD could have found a spiritual successor, of not an actual one.

This reminds me of the 1943 batman tv series. It's really good. I like the more fun side to batman. At least it's not gloomy as always. Your narating is hilarious also 🤣 I wish they had the older batman outfits like the lewis wilson or adam west suits.
