I bought the set and love it. I wore it on a 3 miles walk with only a base layer in 32 degree weather and had to vent the sides on my way back. It's main function isn't to keep you warm but it really did the job for me. I'm also bigger and don't need to wear many layers.

i would recc the balmacaan by olderbest. they use much heavier weights as were more common in the 1930s.

This jacket is a snowboard/ski jacket. That piece under is a snow skirt, so snow doesn't get inside when you ride powder or fall in deep snow. There is nothing worst than snow inside your jacket. They also have a pair of bib pants with the same name. Check them out.

The jacket is too small. You should consider a regular large or a medium OG, which has a looser, boxy fit. Or lose 25 pounds.🙂

Does it feel like it is actually water repellant at all? Or is it purely cosmetic? Also, it didn't look like it, but do you have room to layer a sweater under, or would it be too tight? The website says this is an oversized fit, but it doesn't look oversized on you. I've got a bit of a muscle build so was gonna go for a large, but don't want to risk big of a shoulder area with a large. We are the same height.

Is this wearable in summers? I live in India, it gets warm here
