Thank you. Nice video. Over time the cover might sag between horizontal bars, enough to pool water in the three segments, even with velcro pulled tight. I got a tube of plumbers round pipe insulation foam and shoved it over the crossbars, under the vinyl to give the cover enough of a peak to fend off all the rain.

I replaced my temperature sensor last year, but it’s been a while since I turned my heater on. I turned it on now and it keeps saying low temp lockout and it shows my water is at 34° which definitely isn’t. It’s closer to like 68. Does that mean it’s bad again? Or could there be something else going on?

Great video. Very helpful, thanks. One point, don't use 'petroleum based lubricant' on O-rings. Use silicone or Teflon based lubricants. Petroleum rots the O-ring.

I'm getting a hi Temp sensor error on my Rheem pool water heater. Would this be caused by the same sensor failing?

So i replaced the Temperature sensor but when i turn on the heater, i am still getting the SNS error code. Does that indicate it could be the circuit board that is bad?

The plastic part is a bit pricey ($29) but often salvagable. My sensor was rusted stuck in there, requiring a hammer and metal filing the end to get it out. There are also a couple of washer like fittings inside.

The best way to fix this is to cap it off with a 1.5" PVC cap and buy a chlorine float. Much cheaper and it is sooooo much easier.

My pool heater has the same sensor but not sure that’s the problem cause I have no codes. My heater says the pool water is 85 even though it’s really 80.

🤔🤔🤔 how about taking the wires to the pool panel to automatically turn on the heater from the pool panel ... ?
