I guess it says it all.

My early morning voice on a cover of one of my favorite Greg Brown songs, Oh Lord I Have Made You.

A work in progress that began this evening. It may go to the graveyard of hundreds of other things that are incomplete, but we will see.

That's my daughter's, Amy Salas-Hultquist, unfinished painting in the background. This is a cover of a song that was co-written Stewart Harris and Travis Tritt and recorded by Tritt back in the 90's. A love song.

I came across a video of the great and unsung singer/songwriter Terry Reinhackel. It was a performance at Hardtails in Georgetown, Texas on January 10, 2017, with Emin Navarro on lead guitar. A typically great performance by both on a song written by Terry. We loved Terry because he was a great friend, wise and kind to those who got him; his talent was a bonus.

I make up stories for my granddaughter, Francis Joy, whenever it's my turn to get her to sleep. I had told her this story once, and because she likes for me to repeat them, I decided to record it. She was already into the song.

Sometimes it comes at you in the night, out of nowhere.
