Love all the dolphin escorts! It's been a slow dolphin year for Keeldragger relative to other years. We did get to see some spinners once we closed in on Cabo.
I am looking forward to watching the encounters you have as you make your way south. I'm guessing dolphin will be the least of what you get to experience!
This is the most beautiful boat I've ever seen. I hope to see you on the water with my own one day.
Thank you so very much. We love getting comments like this and we too hope to see you on the water some day soon! Happy Holidays!
Another fantastic Flight Level Zero video! Watching the dolphins gliding through the water was mesmerizing-what an incredible sight and such perfect timing. It’s always so relaxing to watch your videos, Chris. The background music you choose always adds the perfect vibe. Have you ever thought about creating a Flight Level Zero music playlist? It would definitely be a hit! Wishing you and Karmen happy and safe sailing. Looking forward to the next adventure! ⛵️
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you!
Thanks for the Video and showing us how your did your install! I'm sure you know this by now, but your battery connections are suppose to be largest lugs first then smaller on top of that to comply with ABYC. It appeared in the video that you have them reversed. Thanks again for the great video!
Correct! That was primarily due to the editing of the video.
I really like that you’ve allowed all of us to be a part of your search for the next Flight Level Zero. Really enjoy watching your videos. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you too!
First time seeing one myself. I like the deck layout, but I'm also a fan of center cockpit.
It’s a great boat and I like the center cockpit, too!
That Oyster 53 is a nice boat. Funny how you know almost immediately whether it is 'the' boat. If I were in the market again, I'd still have a Valiant at the top of the list but I do think a lot about dinghy davits and more room for solar. Also worth noting that I have a new found appreciation for washer/dryers and air conditioning while I'm here in the tropics!
It's is indeed a very nice boat! I doubt I would get approval from the keeper of my checkbook to buy anything without a washer and A/C. ;-)
Fantastic job on that install, Chris!! Time to go drop the hook in two harbors and pick up some free anchors!
Ha! I hear there are a few misplaced anchors available out there! 😜
Right on Chris! Mark and I are watching it right now 🤙🏼
I wish I was down there testing it with you guys! Enjoy the Baja!
Awesome footage y'all.
We had a great time there!
Beautiful there, is the water nice and warm there?
@@davidboan59 amazingly clear and warm!
So glad you guys are having a great time away. Enjoy!!!
"it will be here in a couple of weeks"... 🛫--> 5 days later --> 🛬📦. Wishing the two of you an amazing anniversary in Bonnaire!
We will miss you guys! Have a wonderful time and stay safe. Look forward to seeing you back.
We will be back soon and looking forward to it too!
Annapolis is always such a great time. This was my second year and I can't wait for next year already.
Agreed! We'd love to meet you guys at next years show!
I am really going to miss these weekend adventures to the island and buddy boating with sv Aeronautical!
That won’t be the last one! Just the last for a while.

Foi uma noite linda com certeza!
Pleasure to meet you both and thank you for the tshirts!!!
Hi Allison, pleasure to meet you two as well! We had a great time.
Captain Chris, what program do you run on the iPad?
I assume you are asking about navigation? I like Navionics but recently I have been playing with TZiboat. Both are good.
We were there looking at catamarans. I think all the RUclips creators did there meetup at the pottery!
We looked at quit a few Catamarans. There were some nice boats!
Looked like a great time! I wish we had a proper sailboat expo on the Best Coast.
That would be nice. We have plenty of sailing interest on the west coast and our weather is better!
Love it! Hope to meet you both sometime soon over at the island.

Name: CAVU
oh, that’s a good one!
Transition Level because it’s the lowest flight level and you’re transitioning to a smaller boat!
Good one
Dinghy suggestion: Rampie - because it loads SV AeroNautical with cargo.
I like it!
We are going with Rampie for the dinghy name. Send us your T-shirt size and a mailing address to "Dowell737@gmail" we will send you a freebie. Thanks, Jeff!

Perfectly fitting name
Hello from Alivo Sailing!!! Thanks for the follow! We are now catching up on your story! Beautiful boat! Where are you guys now? We are leaving Marina del Rey in a few weeks to slowly begin the venture south! Let's sail together! :)
Hi guys! We are in Cabrillo Marina. We wont be headed south for a couple of more years but we are looking forward to it! We would love to meet up sometime and will be at Avalon this weekend if you are near the island. On AIS.
Great tour on what has to be the cleanest 42CC out there!
Thank you! We have thoroughly enjoyed the process. I know it seems strange because it's a lot of work but there is a lot of satisfaction in taking a nice boat and making it a great boat.
Hi, Can you give me an update on how the BBM is working for you? I am thinking about installing a hybrid bank as you have done. Thanks, Mike
We have had zero issues since the initial install. I did adjust the max charge from 98.5% to 100% a while back but we noticed the contractor switched very frequently, which is exactly what the manual says will happen. It doesn’t harm anything but the clicking is noticeable and a bit of an annoyance so we turned it back to 98.5%. I couldn’t be happier with the setup.
@@svAeroNautical Thanks! That’s great to hear. Can you please answer one more question? What charge profile are you using for the hybrid bank: Lithium or Lead Acid?
Congratulations Karmen!!! You did it🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!
Love the dive footage. Way to go guys!!
Another great weekend at the island and a fantastic return sail!
Yes it was!
We were next to y’all night before at hen rock
Wish we had stopped by to say hello! Maybe we will see you again.
Lmao! This whole video is smooth. Enjoy brother.
Thank you! 🤙🏻
That jetski regrets making that trip out😂 Enjoy the sailboat. Fair winds and tight lines 🌊💙
You got that right!
what a fantastic weekend! I wish we would have departed later. You had some great sailing!
It really was a great weekend. Thanks for hosting this event and I know the group will do our best to keep it going.
@@svAeroNautical I may have to fly in for the next one.
Once again Captain Dowell, outstanding. Happy belated birthday Cali...
I appreciate that!
Looks like Cali had a great birthday at the island!
It will be memorable for sure!
Love this short, I play it over and over. It gives the old HandiCaptain hope this auto rotation he's on is in for a feather type landing! Thanks!
Glad you enjoy it!
Miles shared your video with us. Looked like a fabulous 4th of July weekend!! Thanks for inviting Miles to join you. ⛵️ 🌊

What a great, long weekend at the Island!
Yes, it was!
Good day my wife and I own the same boat and keep it at Cabrillo way Marina. Do you have time to hang out talk story and share experiences with the boats to help each other sail them.
Absolutely. I wasn’t aware there was another one in the area.
Low Level Formation Sailing! Fantastic drone work!!! Great to meet Trey. That was quite the adventure for his first time sailing!

Thanks for these great videos Chris and Carmen. The 42cc is on our shortlist of couple cruising boats. I was thinking, looking at the shape of the underwater stern sections which truncate at the transom at waterline, it would seem that stern slap might be much less of a problem for the 42cc than some sugar scoop boats with long almost-horizontal aft overhangs. What is your experience?
We are glad you enjoy the videos! I’ll preface my comments with this; the 42CC was at the top of our list and after nearly three years of ownership, we are still thrilled with our choice. For a couple it is a great choice. The cockpit, while small, is very safe and comfortable for a couple. When you add more people, it can get very tight. Especially if you have a binnacle instead of the helm steering. You will also notice that we got rid of the large Salon table and replaced it with a much smaller table and that improved the livability of the boat tremendously. Although we lost the ability to use the table as a base for the pad that turned the saloon into an additional “sea bunk”. We are ok with that. We like the improvement to space. Now to answer your question. Stern slap is minimal. There have been a few times when we had swells while on a bow/stern mooring that would slap the hull while we were in the aft bunk but the sound is exaggerated because the head of the aft bunk is so far aft on this boat that the slap occurs right below your head while you are trying to get to sleep. Only once that we can recall, did it get so bad that we found it to be an issue but it will happen on occasion if you are tied bow and stern with a following swell. On an upside. The forward Pullman birth is surprisingly comfortable and moving up front when you have to is actually very comfortable. If you decide to go with a 42CC I doubt you would be disappointed!
@@svAeroNautical Thanks so much for the effort of such a detailed response! We watch all your videos very carefully, (and generally several times) and will be modelling our improvements on what you've been doing. We loved the hard liferails around the stern and your handsome cowl vents and canvas work and will probably also be renewing portlights and hatches. One of the big attractions of the 42CC for us, like yourselves, is the existence of two very comfortable, side-entry double bunks which we think will give us some alone space if required in a live-aboard situation - as we are planning to do. But as you say also, in the event the aft cabin is noisy, we have an option! Thanks again for sharing your experiences and fair winds to you and your cruising community! Chris.
First of many successful adventures at anchor!
And I am looking forward to them all!
