I'd recommend using character location rather than offsets, as effects that are set to appear over the character(such as the spotlight in Psych's Dadbattle) will be in the wrong location if you use offsets alone. Use character X and Y to place the idle in the right place and THEN use offsets if the sing anims are incorrectly placed.

two things, one, usually don't smooth into the fully down bop idle, and two, DON'T MAKE YOUR POSES GO OUTWARDS IF THEY'RE 2 FRAMES!! make the first frame go all the way in that direction you want, and the second frame closer to the idle!! it makes it look so much nicer!

I've been trying to animate my characters for a while, but they always came out rough for animation wise since I was doing it the layer method.. This helps so much, cause now they can be nice and smooth. Thank you for the tutorial. 😁
