John Cooper is a amazing. I have seen him live a few times and he is one of the few people that sounds as good live as he does in the studio. Toby Mac is good.. don't take me wrong.. but without Cooper's vocals.. this song is average.

I'll think you find that most singers these days don't sound great live. For one, recording in a studio can mean they can correct certain parts that are off. If a singer sounds completely flawless live, then they are lip-syncing, which is disrespectful to their fans. Singing live takes balls, even knowing that they can't hit every single note perfectly 100% of the time.
