Tailgate - stupid torsion bar

Took the tailgate off to get rid of some rust and do some painting. Putting it back on got me stumped. I can't figure out this torsion bar. There must be some trick, but I don't know what it is.
Fuel filter housing jb weld

Plugging the fuel pressure sensor hole which I think is the cause of the air leak in my fuel system. I believe it to be causing my dying after first starting in the morning and "surging" I have been seeing in the morning until it has been running for a few minutes. This is on my detroit diesel 6.2L GMC/Chevy Suburban
Disconnect from mystery box and missing fuel heater connection
Просмотров 33012 лет назад
Somehow I disconnected a small line, (vacuum maybe?) that connects to some small box? I don't know what it is of if I broke it. I also somehow lost the connection to my fuel heater. I guess there was another piece that I am missing now
Fuel Pump Install 6.2 Diesel Suburban
Просмотров 34 тыс.12 лет назад
Installed a new mechanical fuel pump on my 6.2L Diesel Suburban. Seems to have fixed my "die after idle" scenario. However I still have some surging issues at idle int he morning. I must have some air in the lines. And I still suspect my fuel filter housing.
Clear Fuel Filter Test - Fuel Filter Block or Lift Pump or ?
Просмотров 18 тыс.12 лет назад
Trying to determine if my morning startup problem is due to my fuel filter or my lift pump on my 6.2L Diesel Suburban. The last 2 minutes is of me starting the truck in the morning and it exhibiting the same behavior it does every morning. I guess it's my lift pump? I'm not sure I thought that fuel filter would have filled with fuel, but maybe since there is no air release?
Master Cylinder Replacement and Nasty Hydroboost
Просмотров 33 тыс.12 лет назад
Replacing the Master Cylinder on my Suburban fixed my weak break problem. Although my Hydroboost didn't look to happy inside. I used a mityvac to help bleed the master cylinder and the front breaks. I didn't bother doing the rears. I stopped making making the end of this video because it was late and I forgot.
Service Parts Identification

My Service Parts Identification stick from the inside of my glove box on my GMC Suburban. Wanted to have this for future reference. When I took this I was looking for which brake master cylinder I needed which apparently is the J code so for mine it was JD5
Stanadyne Model 80 Fuel Filter Housing Block
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.12 лет назад
This is the Stanadyne Model 80 Fuel filter housing block from a 6.2L Diesel engine. I think the one on my truck has a air leak that's letting air into the lines. My plan is to tap the small hole I show in this video to stop the leak. I'm worried taping the hole could introduce metal shavings into the fuel which could then get into my injection pump and/or injectors. My other idea is to replace ...
Brake Problems - help
Просмотров 7 тыс.12 лет назад
Driving to work the brake pedal was almost touching the floor. So I decided to top off my brake fluid which didn't help. I don't see any leak, the break fluid doesn't seem to be going down. New Master Cylinder? New Hydroboost? Thanks in advance for any help.
TV Cable Adjustment

So after my first time adjusting the Throttle Vavle (TV) cable for my 700R4 Transmission I was still having shifting problems. This time it would not shift until I took my foot off the gas. So I reset the cable and pushed the throttle with my hand.
Idle and die start after 4 days
Просмотров 63712 лет назад
After sitting for 4 days try to crank her up. After replacing all the rubber fuel lines I still am getting air in somehow as you can see my 6.2L diesel die after idling for a few seconds. Hopefully the problem is an air leak in the fuel filter housing, which seems to be a common problem

Installing air filter housing and bracket after I painted them both. Also small update on the sanding of my inner fender.
Painted air filter shroud and starting on inner fender sanding
Просмотров 64412 лет назад
Finished paining the housing for the air filter. I sanded it all down removing all the rust, or as much as I could. There was a little left down in some of the crevices that I couldn't get to. We will see how long it lasts. Getting ready to start sanding the inner fender I pulled from the junkyard for my Suburban

Inflating Tires and Air Compressor Hissing
Well there's 7 min of my life I'll never get back
I'm having same trouble I have a 1992 6.2 no turbo it will start run for 10 seconds and then die but if I can get it up to 50 mph it'll stay running I don't understand it
I have a similar issue
You vid helped me. I needed to know which port was 'in' on the filter block. 👍
Good job on video
Not bad!!!
What a moron...
well we know Zoom works
Top is a ½ bottom is 15mm
What’s the part number for the alternator????
I just want to let you know that these videos are helping me learn about my 93 chevy G30 6.2l
Thanks man, just got a 6.2 as my first diesel. I thought this box was a water separator (is it?) and so I took it off and emptied out the contents and put it back on......lol I guess I'm learning by trial and error
Stick in a big flathead screwdriver to hold the nut while you ratchet the bolt...
Lot of guys replace the square filter with a screw on filter. Your filter is on the front of the engine so it should be easy, there are videos about doing it. My 1983 6.2l G20 was built in Canada. Give me a follow if you should desire, however I'll admit I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm doing it. Good Luck!
the sound is bad ! idiot !
man what the hell starter you got on that thing? none of mine crank that fast
Bet the guy below didnt do his shit in th parking lot of a sears tool store. Or with a hack carriage bolt. Hill billies “ACTIVATE”! Lmao!
on Diesel, snap throttle to wake the alternator.
Thank you for the video, it helped me to change the fuel filter on my GM1988 P30 step van, which use to be a postal vehicle. Thank you for taking the time to make this and sharing it.
Gotta know. Did it work? If so, is it loud?
That ain’t gunna roll
Worst video online about a fuel Pump on a 6.2/6.5 Diesel. 😖
A glass filter is a junk do you like catching on fire and they break
SHUT THE FUCK UP RONNIE. Its gawdam diesel and those filters are onky problematic for embiciles like yourself.
klj
Always make sure you get Delphie #CHFP906. THAT IS THE ONLY PUMP THAT WILL WORK. Delphie #MF0030 will NOT work.
Is there really a word (anyways)?
anyways is generally accepted only in colloquial speech or informal writing.
Bypass the rectangular fuel filter management box. Its a leaking nightmare, I know. I was lucky in that the previous owner had installed a Racor marine filter/water seperator on the engine compartment firewall in my van that does the job with way less problems. you will have to install a "T" fitting for excess fuel return as well
The bracket helps the starter from cracking
The bracket helps to prevent the torque from shearing the bolts on the rear of the engine to starter or worse cracking or breaking off chunks of the block where the rear bolts secure the starter in the block.
Muito bom !👍
what vehicle is this on? Chevy?
Take off the air breather
he is lost big time ,holy shit,
Hi did ever fix the problem with TV cable and or 700r4 transmission matt
how's the block heater working still all good
If you're referencing LMC Truck, why not just order some for them?
I literally just tried that, but it shows out of stock and on back order. 🤦🏻
Tooooo much talk about nothing. Needed the info but painful to watch. Maybe okay if youve never picked up a wrench before. Will call a friend and ask. Save tine listening to the long story here.
Were these not installed originally? I have a 6.5.
Thank you for showing how to get the fuel heater out! That's where mine is leaking.
How did u get it out
Came here after 'draining water' to see if the water in fuel light would quit coming on for 2seconds evrry time Key went in( there was no H20) then, Made MISTAKE of cranking the motor before re-priming the base via top vent w/ i.p. wire connected instead of re-priming the base top vent to a bucket i.p. pink wire off. I fired it up it ran 5 seconds and DIED.. bc AIR LOCKED in the lines from the base air bubble I created from water drain(only like 4 tblspoons of fuel!) .... so i cranked for 30+ sec until battery started slowing down (did this 2 x took 2 breaks and still no start - pissed) ....so watched this vid and learned bc I have no manual....opened my fuel cap, disconnected the pink wire....opened top vent w clear hose and cranked 2-3 sec to easily see fuel run thru clear hose to jug 👍🏻. so....knowing fuel was in the base 100% I knew it was a matter of keep cranking w foot down 50% to open pump ....Plugged pink wire back in, glowed, and cranked again 3rd try to start....about 5 seconds in she started to catch! so i goosed it...she ran 2-3 seconds on own and sputtered died off....so..took a 30 sec break....re glowed a few seconds, she fired up hard this time and I held to floor for a few seconds w belt squeeling and she was FINE let it run 5minutes revving it up to get air out it smoothed out about a minute in. Dont give up! Have good battery! (Optima rules) my M1008 is 12V starter swapped and only 1 alternator and (1) Optima yellow the big 1125ca $300 one. Yes these old bastards (trucks and owners) deserve $300 batteries. You 24V dudes need to swap to 12V and use correct GM part# nose bracket to block mounting and loose the 2nd alternator if your not running crazy accessories. Now any 12V car can jump you w ease and simplicity. The $$ you save not buying 2nd battery will pay for 12V starter. CUCV 2nd battery is ONLY for starts and 2nd alternator is to only recharge that battery from the restart drain. That second alternator only charges for like 5 seconds and just adds complexity underhood and another belt to fk w. The other battery/alternator is normal 12v Cab only like any other vehicle.
At least you should be able to change it from ther
It’s either wheel cylinders or master cylinder this guy has no clue he shold be looking for leaks around the tires on the inside of wheels
Check your rear back wheels or your booster check all your lines and the back wheels were the inside of tires see if any fluid I agree with wheel cylinders
This is for GASOLINE engines!!!! NOT for diesel!!!
What size are those nuts on the starter bolt?
Why make a video that you know nothing about who cares about the diff of your manifolds
Delete this rubbish clip off RUclips & do us all a favour.
Nice Burb. I have an 87 3/4 Ton 4x4 V20 Burb. I love Burbans!
Fyi that book is probably the TM for the truck. A military manual for CUCVs.
Change your filter and fluid
Research everything before you do a video waste my time
