I liked Jumper. It wasn’t groundbreaking or anything, but very entertaining with a solid twist ending. Galaxy Quest deserves a sequel as well.

It's obvious that the purpose of the series to deconstruct the Jedi as good, fair, competent, moral, and portray them as evil, unfair, immoral, elitist, and oppressive. The show runner basically says this. But this doesn't, even if it is successful necessarily make the Sith or witches good even by comparison. Good and evil don't exist and it's just a power struggle is what we are also told. Maybe I'm just a dinosaur but I liked it when the Jedi were good. Making them into incompetent buffoons' just makes them not a threat. If they are not a threat, which they shown every episode, how are they oppressing the galaxy? They can't even defeat an acolyte. One Sith can kill 8 of them with little effort. That's just bad story telling because one side isn't a threat to other but that other side pretends to be motivated by them being one. How do I get invested in characters that are not good, are motivated by power, think freedom is freedom from responsibility, and are loyal to which ever way the wind blows. They think that kind of person is out there crying for representation? I want the selfish morally ambiguous character to win because I'm a shit person! I want the good guys to win and I don't care what color or gender they are or their sexual preference because those are just side notes and shouldn't be the 'story' itself. Star Wars used to be about hope now it's just about hopelessness. Who is asking for this? Well, they didn't show up to watch it.
