The wayside horns there on Panorama Avenue have been removed this past year of 2024. They do have signs that say "No Train Horn." Now the wayside horns on Brockton Avenue and Palm Avenue have been shutdown. So any train union Pacific and metrolink will sound the train horn when approaching.

At 2:16 the locomotive blew its horn to warn the homeless who were camping by the Side of the tracks to avoid a catastrophe.

This crossing is now a quiet zone :(

Does anyone know when these signals were installed?

Very rare to see a 5 light traffic light with a red arrow.

I wish we can use Railroad Crossing Western Cullen Hayes and Safetran System Corp 2nd Gen Mechanical Bells as it’s better.

So years ago it had one mechanical bell, and one general signals type 2 e-bell, and now the mechanical bell is replaced by another type 2 e-bell, and the two type 2 e-bells are replaces by the type 3 e-bells. How amazing this crossing looks. I also hate the sound of the wayside horns btw.

Not so much has changed here since the bell change in Late 2011/Early 2012.

If you go up the road a little bit, and turn left, there's a little overpass over the tracks. Makes a little scenic canyon. I haven't gotten around to going there since it's hard to get my bike up that steep hill. I really recommend it though, just seeing it driving past.
