Yo am late but I need u to hear me out so listen everyone so we all know how persona 4&5 "idk about the answer" but how those 2 games people had to wait 1 or 2 years to get the full games and what I mean by that is golden and Royal so hear me out on this if they are planning to do the same with persona 6 then why not remake Persona 4,2&1 or put persona 1&2 on modern consoles with better graphics and new mechanics like they did P3P and just remake 4 to "save time" if they want idk but all I know is when persona 6 comes out and 2 years or so go by and they make a Royal version of the game am crashing out and I don't want that I rather ATLUS remake all 3 games or do a P3P with persona 1&2 and remake 4 like they did P3R and then get a have assed persona 6 IDC what game get a remake or not all I know is I don't want a "Royal" version of persona 6 1 or 2 years later but instead they make the FULL GAME. I never played reload. But the way they did yukari seems a little better. She seems like less of a dick. I still think its weird seeing her arc through the main game and then her do this. But it makes sense. Ppl can be hypcrits. The pacing was rough and the mystery with shadow makoto was super obvious so it annoyed me how 90% of the the dlc was just "oooo whats gonna happen? Who is that black figure shaped like makoto???" Im not crazy about the the way the group split was done and the ending. Like it feels very confusing that despite only being able to choose between 2 choices... they somehow split into 4 seperate groups? They also over explain and complicate how the "tournament" works. Also explaining the death of a character i feel like is kinda a weak way to handle it. I feel like itd be much more interesting to have the characters come to terms with the fact they dont know entirely why he died and thats okay. I love aigis' arc though with Metis. That was actually pretty cool. Its very weird to see people turn around on this story so much and say its good now. Tbf, playing the p3 fes version is a bit worse because youre hard stuck hard mode with no compendium and yukari is definitely written in a way thats more assholish. Though her misery after loosing her battle is more brutal in fes.

Bruh, my favorites Junpei and Ken got dogged on, big fan of those type of characters :( . I agree with the P4 and P5 rankings though, really like the Investigation Team as a friend group.

Hating on Junpei for such silly reason is wild, he's easly the best written best friend character, and one of the beat written characters in general.

Do you have any comments on people that say the pacing is bad, the story is padded out and some of the main and side quests are really boring? Those are the main things stopping me from wanting to play it. Other than that it looks great

I went insane with Chain of memories, the history is quite good especially since is one of the prequels for KH2 which is the best KH game in my opinion, but the gameplay is awful! honestly i kinda rushed the game just to get over with!

Ngl chain of memories has, in my opinion, probably the second or first best story in the series. The gameplay issssss....creative! Lol. The riku story is really good tho. I like the forced deck a lot.

The GBA version is much better simply because it's 2D meaning the rooms are more horizontal making hitting enemies easier. It still isn't that good, but it's better

Chain of Memories is obviously the worst, but I genuinely think KH3 is not far behind. It’s just not remotely as good as 2 or 1. The combat is super floaty and lacks impact. You have to disable Kupo Coin, Attractions, and Summons just to get a challenge and not have the pace of combat totally halt out of nowhere. KH3 was truly a disappointment. And DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE DISNEY WORLDS!!!

Wasn't really feeling Chain of memories when I started it especially knowing KH2 is up next. Got to the 2nd riku fight lost like 5 times and said fuck it, I already know the story so I quit the game started up the 358 movie and went straight to KH2 after. CoM should have been the movie and KH 358/2 days should have gotten the remix treatment.

i think the game is a bit overhated, but def one of the worser games. if you dont know how to abuse the mechanics the game can be really hard but if you know how the game works, its basically just spamming sleights until you defeat the enemy/boss (for almost every boss fight i have only pressed triangle and maybe cross like once or twice)

Okay give me a second. Re: chain of memories, was for gameboy, and was a card based game. Re: coded/358/2 days was for the Nintendo ds and has combat almost exactly like two other kingdom hearts games that weren’t on the play station that got remixes for it. And yet, it was this game, that got an actual remix, and wasn’t just a movie? Just making sure.

the GBA version of the game is SIGNIFICANTLY better. Yes it uses the same general mechanics but the fact that it happens on a 2d field rather than a 3d one makes things SO much better. Its easier to keep track of things like ally cards spawning, positioning is cleaner, just generally a much better version of the game. That said i would never actually go tell someone to play it because it IS so unique that i don't think it has the mass appeal to hold up in a more general sense.

Personally I think KH2 final mix is pretty overrated in my opinion, its a good game don't get me wrong but I think the main reason KH3 gets a lot of unnecessary hate is because people are coming off of KH2 final mix, KH2 final mix really spoiled some people in my opinion because the original KH2 was so horrible because for one you couldn't even dodge and there was no limit form until final mix became a thing, KH3 isn't as bad as people say it is because for example its combat is really good in my opinion as well as world design, plus hands down the best graphics at least until KH4, with KH2 I think some of it is blind nostalgia, if you wanna praise KH2 final mix then that's totally fine, its just that I would like for some people to aknowledge that even our childhood nostalgia has flaws too and isn't perfect, as usual of course any adaptation that comes after is met with immediate extreme hostility and expectations which sometimes feels impossible to live up to, even getting miles morales after Peter Parker and seeing how people say miles is just a black Peter Parker which completely undermines all of his stories and his purpose for existing which is also racist, everyone is starting to love boruto now but in the beginning they hated him in favor of Naruto but neven now he still gets unnecessary hate even though he's really evolved into a more worthy protagonist, person and ninja even in power, or Resident Evil 4 original being considered a "masterpiece" even though darn near everyone hated the character ashley and luis and even Leon to an extent got criticism but in the remake Leon is more fleshed out with raccoon city and Ashley is actually *LIKEABLE* for the first time, as much as people praise OG FF7 and trash on the remakes, the remakes made several improvements like having tifa actually confront cloud about his neiblhim lie since I also agree that it was weird how in the original I would think she of all people would say something to him, even spiderman 2 ps2 where the only thing I see people talk about is the web swinging, spiderman 2 PS5 has its flaws don't get me wrong but at least in that game there's better graphics, two spiderman, improved gameplay, bigger open world and you can change your costume, Just saying this makes me feel like im gonna get some angry people come at me but I feel like you can't criticize something people consider nostalgic and give credit to the newer adaptations without causing an argument, as much as people praise tobey maguire as spiderman and give crap to Andrew and Tom to be fair tobey didn't even have web shooters which is one of the most popular things about Peter Parker but Andrew and Tom do have web shooters, yes tom relies on tech that tony gave him but in civil war upon meeting tony for the first time Tony asked Peter who manufactured the web fluid and Peter said that he did it himself all before he got his first official spiderman suit in civil war/homecoming

I got so frustrated playing this game too. The fight with Vexen was almost impossible for me (although I recognise I’m not a very good player🥲). However, the story was great, and the Riku part was not as difficult as Sora’s 🫠

Chain of memories was great on GBA, RE:Chain of memories is broken. There are specific methods in the game that just guarantee you to win if you know what you are doing.

Pretty good video, very entertaining :). I'm actually going through the kingdom hearts games for the first time too and just finished chain of memories 2 days ago. I had pretty much the same experience as you. I found the card mechanic neat at first but it became pretty tiring by the third world. It doesnt help that i was going for 100% completion too which involves playing on proud mode for both stories, getting all cards and getting both Sora and Riku to level 99 (which took SO MUCH GRINDING) so i was fighting every enemy i came across. I pretty quickly switched my deck up to be using exclusively magic cards, specifically blizzaga for regular enemies and firaga for bosses which was the only saving grace to my experience because both of those absolutely wreck everything in this game, making it very easy even on proud mode. That being said though i am glad i played it since i just started kingdom hearts 2 and the story already seems to immideately follow chain of memories which i was pretty surprised about. People who jumped from kh1 straight into kh2 without playing chain of memories must've been really confused.

The card stuff's weird, but it's balanced out by a few good boss fights, including one of the best final boss fights in the series, Marluxia. Lord of the Castle is the most amazing boss theme in the series in my book and his fight is amazing to boot. I also love how Doom can actually one shot you if you fail it, which you'd really have to be trying to do so, but yeah.
