But the "who am I?" inquiry is an activity of the mind. ANY awareness is an activity of the mind and so is NOT the deepest level of samadhi.

ANd as the Yoga sutra says: * Samadhi with an object of attention takes the form of gross mental activity, then subtle mental activity, bliss and the state of amness. * The other state, samadhi without object of attention [asamprajnata samadhi], follows the repeated experience of cessation, though latent impressions [samskaras] remain. -Yoga Sutras I.17-18 "latent impressions" aka samskaras can be measured even after cessation of awareness. @@LawsonEnglish I just talk about my experience, there are many different explanations.And I can say that yes, there is a very subtle awareness that is not sleep but samadhi. And many different ways to induce that state. Anyway I comment in this video because I don't believe there is a difference in saying that the sutras are 8 limbs or 8 steps.

@@marcelomiceli5291 The deepest level of samadhi is the cessation of awareness. And yes, there is a huge difference between 8 steps and 8 limbs. You can do each limb as a practice all its own, and in theory, eventually become enlightened. But, as is done in the Yoga Sutra, you can show that each limb moves one towards samadhi, and so, if you must chose a single limb, chose samadhi (dhyana being the process of moving through layers of samadhi towards or even into the deepest level). All the world's religions and cultures have their own equivalent of the yamas and niyamas anyway, and while pranayama and asana are useful, they are still "external" to the heart of Yoga.

Most meditation practices are teh exact OPPOSITE of "transcendental." They take one away from sense-of-self, which is our appreciation of the mind-wandering activity of the default mode network. Every other well-studied practice represses the DMN, supporting the modern Buddhist concept of anatta. The neo-Advaitin "who am I?" inquiry does the same thing. Sense-of-self emerges as awareness fades, even while the brain remains alert. This process is called *dhyana* - motion or journey of the discriminative process [towards zero discrimination, AKA asamprajnata samadhi]. Simply repressing verbal thinking via concentration and mindfulness does the exact opposite of allowing the mind to wander inward towards complete cessation-of-awareness.

In fact, he is telling exactly opposite of what Patanjali is saying. I know some teachers they take the support of Bhagavadgita to give their own message which is not same as what Bhagavadgita is stating. ETC.

Chitta is NOT Mind. The definition of Chitta is not given by Patanjali. That is the biggest drawback of the Sutras. You have to read my Chapter "Chitta Prakaranam" in the Patanjali Code. Also, Vruttis are not just activity of Chitta. It is the Modification of Chitta from its Sattva Guna. It contains not only the activity (which generally refers to the Present Time), but also the impressions from the Previous Births. Also, Consciousness is not the term indicated by Purusha. Yes, Drashta is the Consciousness in a way. Or, I do not even mind Pusuha being called Consciousness. But, context of Purusha is not in terms of only current activities. Purusha is a principle derived from the Sankhya System. This is IV.34, the last line: * "In the absence of activity, the purpose of purusha is fulfilled, and what remains is kaivalya - the infinite power of consciousness established in its own nature." ===> It is NOT infinite power of conscious. It is simply Purusha (or Consciousness if you would like to call it so). It is NOT in the absece of activity: but when the Gunas get absorbed into the Primordial Nature (Prakruti) (pratiprasava) and when the purpose of Gunas (purushartha) is totally finished (purusharthashunya), then absoluteness of Purusha, that is devoid of Bondage with Prakruti takes place. And, that is called Residing in its own nature. And yet, the late Swami Shatananda Saraswati, then Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, was guest of honor and keynote speaker at the first TM teacher training course, held in India back in 1961. This was the most dramatic effect from any procedure that the researchers have every studied.

Hi A H. The OMM Scale manifested itself. During a Transcendental Siddhi Meditation program a thought arose that I had had during the waking state... "Are the Solfeggio values/numbers being applied to correctly metered time"? The answer that came out of the Stillness (Intuition) was "Look into Natures Doubling Sequence (NDS)" (The Cell division doubling sequence that creates life... 1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 etc...). So I did. Aligning the A note Hertz values to doubling sequence values (ie 64Hz being an A note). Next step was to align Time to that sequence and then to assign that longer second the same doubling sequence values. I chose a 16 hour day over a 32 hour day. A day with 16 hours of 64 minutes and 64 seconds. Whoever chose the 24 hour day chose bang in the centre of the doubling sequence values of 16 and 32. There are (24 x 60 x60) 86400 seconds in a standard day. There are (16 x64 x64) 65536 seconds in a 16 hour NDS aligned day. There are charts on EtsyUK and my ebayUK listings with details to aid in gaining an understanding of the findings. 65536 divided by 86400 = 0.7585185185 ... the value needed to find out the sound of the longer Second (An Earth Second/Esec), the (EHz) sound equivalents in Hertz. One of the first values I apllied this too was 256EHz. 256 x 0.7585185185 = 194.18 Hz... (The sound of 256EHz in Hz). Recognising this note as the tone assigned the Earth from the Lunarsite frequency list online. This lead me to form a whole musical Scale by splicing in 2 repeatedly the gap between the lower and higher A notes Hz and EHz values until 9 notes where generated. The Octave that starts with 64 gets split in two. So we get 64, 96 and 128. Splitting once again between those values yields 64, 80, 96, 112, 128. And then again... 64, 72, 80, 88, 96, 104, 112, 120, 128. I call this NDS derived 9 note sequence a Noctave. The first five notes sound in tune with each other (Regardless of the time metering used). The 6th (104) and 7th (112) sound out of tune and the 120 and 128 sound in tune with the first five. Splitting the gap between the two off sounding (104 and 112) notes yields 108. This is how the Vedic number 108 automatically manifests in this aligned to the natural order musical scale. Abandoning the two off key notes and adopting the 108 sequence leaves us rather tidily with an Octave. Applying these values to EHz is what manifested the OMM Scale. Jumping up an Octave. The note 144EHz sounds like 109.22Hz. Close to a second 108 note/number sequence. Adjusting the multiplier from 0.7585185185 to 0.75 is the key. 144 x 0.75 = 108. A second 108 sequence manifested in using this multiplier... One in Standard time Hz and one in NDS EHz. I set about mapping out all of the totally audibly discernable seven Octaves derived using the above and found the central Octave yielded The Gurdjieff note 384Hz as the first note. 512(EHz) x 0.75 = 384Hz. The next notes to manifest in this central Octave are 432Hz 480Hz and the central Note in the whole scale is the Solfeggio miracle tone, the 528Hz. Right at the Heart of it all. then 576Hz, 648Hz, 720Hz and the higher A note of 768Hz(The double of 384Hz). (Google OM and 786 ). Other manifestations. The Light Spectrum frequencies are aligned as they manifest in the 50th Octave, 49 steps up the doubling sequence when using 1EHz as the first note in the first Octave. Phi. The Golden Ratio, 1.618 manifests approximately in most notes five steps away in each direction up or down the scale (Multiplying or dividing values from either the OMM scale or the Sound equivalent scale). ie... 960 x 1.618 = 1553.28. 1553.44 Hz is the sound of 2048EHz. 327.68Hz is the sound of 432EHz. 327.68 x 1.618 = 530.18Hz. Close to 528Hz. Others are much closer and some a bit further off but all are close to values 5 steps away. There is a relationship between NDS that creates life and Phi that manifests in formations within nature in this NDS Musical scale. 648 (An Tesla Octave note) divided by 1.618 = 400.49Hz 528EHz x 0.7585185185 = 400.49Hz Most notes in the OMM scale (4 note columns) align automatically with the Most harmonic Numbers chart produced by Stanford University that I found online. Two note columns are close. including the columnn with 480 in it. Adjusting that column to line up with the Most harmonic numbers makes 480 a 486. 486Hz divided by 1.618 = 300.37Hz 396EHz x 0.7585185185 = 300.37Hz It is staggering how many convergences occur in these Aligned to Natures Doubling Sequence Musical Scale.

I had full on Alzheimers symptoms come the end of the 9 months. Totally fried. Pretty much fully recovered now though. Still some areas of memory are missing but not sure how much as it is an unknown quantity of course. Prime Sound and light frequencies all line up with natures doubling sequence. The cell division sequence... 1 cell splits in 2. the 2 split again in the same fashion and there are 4. and so on. This generates a set of numbers. It is the one Computer scientists adopted due it being so tidy and leaving no untidy fractions to deal with. 1 2 4 8 16 (bit) 32 (bit) 64 (bit) etc... Thank you for saying so. It is early days with this way of making chimes and I'm very pleased with how it is going. I have made a set/Octave of my own musical scale derived from natures doubling sequence and found frequency Gold. It is a bit of a journey but well worth the effort to follow it. First I aligned the Hertz values to natures doubling sequence values. ie 2 4 8 16 32 64 128 etc.. That sequence. So each Octave starts with one of those values as its Hertz amounts. As each Octave start is a double of it's former note it works well. So starting with 64 Heartz. I call them Heartz as Hertz sounds to close to hurts which is negative neuro linguistic programming territory. We get the first Doh or A note and the second higher Doh/A note is its double Hertz. We have then 64 and 128. Two notes. six to go. I split the Hertz value difference in half and get two intervals with one more note on the central border at 96. To clarify.. there is a difference of 64 Hz between 64 and 128. split it in half and we get 32. 64 plus 32 equals 96. We have 3 notes. To get the next notes I split in the same manner between the 64 and 96 and agin between the 96 and the 128. This gives us 64, 80, 96.112, and 128. Do the same again between each value and we are left with equal differences/intervals of 8Hz between each note 64, 72, 80, 88, 96,104, 112,120 and 128. There are nine notes initially but the 6th and 7th sound off key. So I split between those two values in the same manner down the centre of 104 and 112 and it leaves us rather surprisingly with the awesome value of 108 Hz. Abandoning the sixth and seventh and replacing them with the 108 Hz elegently leaves us with a perfect sounding Octave. I call the 108 doubling sequence the Om Octave/note sequence. A superb turn of events to find this famous Vedic/Hindu/Buddhist number manifesting in sound when aligning frequency to natures cell division doubling sequence that all life employs during the one becoming many. I further divided up the day length in the same manner after an intuitive meditation. It has yeilded even more astonishing discoveries which includes an mind blowing alignment with the famous Bible code Solfeggio set of numbers. I split the day into two halves first, Then into quarters and then into eighths and then sixteenths and decided that was enough hours for a day. The next value in the doubling sequence of 32 leaves us very short hours time wise. Whoever decided we use a 24 hour day chose bang in the middle of 16 hours and 32 hours. 24 is half way between 16 plus 8 equals 24, 24 plus 8 equals 32. Staying true to the doubling sequence I chose the value for the minutes and seconds from the doubling sequence which is closest to our current 60 minutes and seconds values.. That doubling sequence value/number being 64. So we have a 16 hour day with 64 minutes and 64 seconds. 32 plus 64 plus 64 gives us 65536 seconds in our Doubling sequence aligned day. To find out what the new length seconds Heartz values sound like it is a simple matter of dividing the 65536 by the amount of standard seconds in a standard day. Which is 86400 seconds (24x60x60). 65536 divided by 86400 gives us 0.75851851851r So I set about aligning Music frequencies to the new length seconds of what i call the EarthTime with Earth mintutes and seconds and Hertz. EHz. To find out what an Ehz value sounds like one simply takes for examle 256 EHz... Multiplying it by 0.7585185185. This gives us the sound of 256 EHz in standard Hz. 256x.7585185185 gives us 194.18 Hz. Google that number. pause. Right as you will have found it is the tone assigned for the planet Earth by musicologist and mathematicianHans Cousto. Bouyed up by this amazing cnvergence with his discoveries I set about tuning a set of singing Bowls to seven Octaves starting with the 64 EHz Octave and ending with the 4096 EHz Octave. I have listed charts on Etsy (and on my Ebay Solfeggio Singing Bowls sets listings) that can be viewed for free of this set of notes with the note values equivalents. Nearly reached the true Gold. I noticed that 144 Ehz (A note derived from the doubling sequence) multiplied by the .7585185185 left us with close to yet anothet 108 value in standard Hz. It was 109.22 Hz. I found by dropping just .0085185185r from the equation and rather neatly employing 0.75 instead it left us with 108 Hz. : ) Two sets of 108 notes. One in standard time and one in Earth time. As I had arranged my set of the most Audible to us humans seven Octaves in rows of seven and columns if seven on shelves with all the A notes in one column (See the charts to get a clear view of this) and the same for al the other notes. it left a central note in the fourth column and fourth row. It's doubling sequence aligned note value is 704. So its EHz is 704 EHz. It's sound equivalent in standard time is 533.99Hz (Using the 0.7585185185 multiplier). Employing the 0.75 value yeilded the 2nd 108 sequence of notes in the 2nd column (bearing in mind that two in from the other end of the row of seven notes is the EHz 108 sequence/column). 704 x 0.75 = 528 Hz. The most famous Solfeggio note. The miracle note. Mi. Right in the centre. It gets better. Frequency genius Nikola Tesla loves 3's 6's and 9's. Google Tesla 3 6 9 and see if you have not yet heard about his famous quote. Every value in the Musical scale I call the OM scale is divisible by 3 and 6. The OM sets others are divisible by nines. Those note columns that do not yeild whole numbers when divisible by nine yeild .66666r or .33333r values (r equals reccuring in maths for those that do not yet know this, Infinite numbers : ) Another taster.. Multiply any value in the first box of my chart by 11. Each box in the chart contains the three notes.. The EHz and it's equivalent and it's 0.75 derived note in Hz as well. Most solfeggio numbers are 111Hz apart (Until a nine is hit in the number sequence). Bang in the center once again. 528 Hz. 963 Hz is a Solfeggio note and the OM musical scale ( I call it this after the teacher who gifted me the TM meditation technique that gifted me this knowledge, The Orderly Maharishi Musical scale) has a 960 Hz. There is a 1296 Hz in the Om scale also. Following the Solfeggio sequence up in the same adding 1 to each of the first three values method gives us 528, 639,741, 852,963,1074,1185, and the 1296 Hz. The first box contains the 64 EHz and its equivalent sound in Hertz of 48.54 Hz and the 0.75 derived Hertz value of 48 Hz. 11 x 48 = 528. all the ones again 11 and 111. 132 Hz is a lower Octave note of 528 Hz. 132 x 3 = 396. Another Solfeggio Value. Hans Cousto from the planetware site assigns 136 Hz a special place. A central role in Music. the doubling sequence note 176 EHz sounds like 133.5 Hz and it's 0.75 equivalent/cousin is the 132. 132 x 4 = 528 Hz There is so much more I have discovered/been lead to in this set of magnificent numbers and frequencies. HI Puneet. It is just a case of Gently Tapping any Bell Bowl or Tube and following the tone generated into stillness. As you are probably aware "Yoga is the settling of the mind into stillnes". The second sutra from Patanjali's Yoga Darshanam. (Yoga Sutra's of Patanjali) Be still and know God. (The Bible). Settle down next too the lord. (Isha Upanishad). It has been left for us by the Guru's in such a simple easy way to grasp. Keeping holy company (Darshan) can be achieved by being still and knowing that thou art That. Tat Tvam asi. We exist in Gods light. Being still is all we need to do to gain Holy company. Ish is in many of the deities names. as is Va and Ra. Shiva, Vishnu, Ishvara, Vashishta. and many more. I have expanded my Pranayama when relaxed enough during Asana practice I bend back with in breaths and let my mind follow all the Major Chakra mantras without the M on then so that I maintain the flow of Pranava. P (Pure) Ra (Radiance) Va (Flowing) Om. for example when bending over I touch Mother Earth and mentally repeat Pritho Smi Prithivi. (Due my not using the Lam mantra and the Earth Chakra Mantra). I then breathe in as I stretch up as far as possible with my hands together above my head as high as I can stretch them so i am like a temple. As I breathe in with an all exspansive Ish and then journey up each Mantra with my breath Ish Va Ra Ya Ha Ah Am (For the Bindu) and then all the sanskrit vowel sounds A Aa I (E) Iii (EE) U UU Ri Ree Lri Aye Eye O Aow Um an Ahh as I flow out through the Sahasrara all the way to DruVa (Ru (Light) from GuRu, Darkness to light) flowing with the Va sounds Aaaa to BrrrAaah Maaa.... Holding myself in the Bliss as long as I can and then breathe out with another Ahhh sound as I bend back over again to touch the Earth and give thanks once more for this wonderful gift of life. HI : ) Been away for a while. It is just a case of pot luck really. Sorry I cannot be of more help. I sold off the majority of my set of singing bowls after being blackmailed in to accepting the fitment of a pacemaker that switched on if my heart rate dropped to low. Driving licence or pacemaker was the choice. (I passed out a few times after someone sprayed the house garden and my crop of wheatgrass with round up) Once fitted I could neither sleep or meditate as the device would switch on and beat alongside my low heart rate long enough to wake/disturb me. I went a little crazy due to the lack of sleep. 9 months it took to get the NHS to remove the darn thing. Things have improved now and I have overcome the bad habits gained during the torturous period without sleep or the transcendent. Back on my healthy programme. No driving licence though but sanity is far more important I think all will agree. Enlightenment first : ) Jai Guru Dev. Namaste....

And the solfegio and the other cup and tubular chimes sound amazing! The latest large chime sequence is very unique, it reminds me of the sounds of flying saucers in old movies...
