DeSantis is one of the least 'cut loose' politicians i've ever seen, you're crazy, dog. dude looks like an alien doing his best impression of a human every time he's on camera, did we watch the same thing? 'we would never allow something like this to happen in Florida' and you're like 'yep', because DeSantis enacting laws that make it legally permissible to hit a protester in the road with your car (same exact type of peaceful protest used during the Civil Rights movement, and could have been weaponized against THOSE protesters) is a perfectly normal thing to agree with when the FIRST LAW in your country is freedom of speech and organized protest? i like having more freedoms, not less. the existence of rioting does not nullify the grievances of those who peacefully protest (the vast majority) nor should it be used as a method to disenfranchise those who have done nothing wrong. kind of like, i don't know, conservatives thinking that school shootings shouldn't mean we have red line laws and universal background checks to prevent something like that from happening again because it might affect law abiding gun owners. if you just actually think about the things you believe, for longer than 5 seconds, you might come to a different answer than the reactionary one that felt good when you heard it. your quiet, whispery demeanor is all i need to observe to understand why that lukewarm milquetoast babble from DeSantis was him 'going in', as you described it
