As an African myself: Vulnerability and Adaptation: Africa is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change due to its reliance on rain-fed agriculture, limited infrastructure, and high levels of poverty. Experts might discuss strategies for adapting to these impacts, such as implementing climate-resilient agricultural practices and improving water resource management. Mitigation Efforts: While Africa contributes relatively little to global greenhouse gas emissions, it is still important for the continent to participate in global mitigation efforts. MY OPINION -RoundTable might discuss opportunities for reducing emissions through renewable energy deployment, afforestation, and sustainable land use practices. Finance and Investment: Adequate financing is crucial for implementing climate adaptation and mitigation projects in Africa. MY OPINION; Experts might discuss ways to mobilize climate finance, including through international climate funds, private sector investment, and innovative financing mechanisms.
