"Damian is one of the very few tailwheel instructors I routinely recommend to people wanting that kind of training so I'm not surprised to see that his video is probably the best instructional video ever produced on the subject. If you want to fly tailwheel, do it right and go to the pros, and the quickest way to do that is through this video." ~ Budd Davisson, www.airbum.com Whether you want t...

Amazing video! Fun to watch and very informative! I was in Damian first flight training class at Lincoln Park Flight Academy in the 1980's.
Great video Damian
Glad you enjoyed it
Been flying taildraggers for nearly 50 years. Always something to learn. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video Damian Wish I had seen this when I did my ppl on trike undercarriage Well done
This is brilliant
Good info. Fly a Champ and to be honest never really thought I had much use for wheel landing ( except to look cool ) but considering the gusty head wind scenario you mention is worth keeping in mind. Thought she did a great job if those were first Tailwheel landings.
Will Tailwheel 201 be published here too soon?
We will, but I don't have a date yet. There are still DVDs being sold for this in stores, so we don't want to pull the rug out from under them.
It’s here!
Terrific resource! Thank you for making this available.
Jill nailed the pop-quiz... I think I would have choked, not easy to remember all that stuff.
I bought this video on dvd a few years back. Awesome resource. Hope everyone sees what is being given away for free here!
Excellent video!
Hhhjhg
Well said
How long does it take to learn all this!
5 to 10 hours of in-flight instruction. lots of TO & landings. Prior to that, you need 5 to 10 hours of "shore school" (such as this video and others) and instructor shore-school prior to the 5-10 IFI
Well done
I enjoyed the video. Excellent description of wheel landing techniques. I was surprised you didn’t move to the pavement at the end. A small amount of drift at touchdown is forgiven by the grass but can get exciting on the asphalt.
Love this, Damian. I do a bit of teaching in a Pacer. You're comment on wheel landings re: "When the tail is done, the wings are done" is a great way to reinforce the appropriate time to bring/allow the tail wheel to touch. Three reasons to retract flaps on the three pointers in a cross wind is a golden nugget as well.
Nice video, thanks!
Awesome Video
