I used to say "aint it", like a really chavy way of saying "isn't it" but I would say in in place of "you know" and it didn't even make any sense. Ain't it? In a way, I was really saying "do you accept what I just said or would you prefer to reject it?". I was lucky that I had some honest colleagues that told me that it sounded bad. I asked them to repeat it back to me if I said it and I was shocked how often I said it. It took me a few months, but I managed to get out of the habit.

Thank you so much. As someone who just wings it, I'm painfully aware of the vast advantage a well practiced speech carries. But somehow I'm unable to commit to the steps you've listed no matter how long I have to prepare. The speech is never fully ready and I change things so often, I never get to move past the first step. It's frustrating and really wish I could overcome it.

Glad you for this video helpful my friend, sounds like you need to set yourself some strong deadlines. For example, by X date will have done this phase of prep. By X date I will then complete this next stage of prep. Plan it out like a wedding and have someone keep you accountable! If that seems quite hard to pull off, working with a coach can help you with that. Send me an email if you're interested in learning how that works: Kyle@confidencebydesign.co.uk
