i used your videos to help me and won the semi-finals of my district, and the finals are tomorrow. id just like to know if its better to speak directly to the person, in the first person, or to rather speak in the third person, for example speaking ABOUT the person using their name during the evaluation.

Kyle, can you suggest how an evaluator can take notes effectively while the test speaker is speaking and yet not miss out on critical sentences / aspects of the speech. Thanks for all the videos on this channel and the effort you took to prepare them.

I especially like the first tip. I find if you try to memorize a script, even forgetting one word or phrase while speaking can throw you off a lot. It's better to have a rough outline

It's on the presentation on our club's home page. 🥳 I have never tried exercising before a speech before, but I definitely will go for a brisk walk before my next speech! Great tips that are new to me. All of these tips are better than imagining the audience naked. I will also prepare for the worst and steal the mug beforehand 😉
