Christopher walken is that you?
Have you ever watch a video about lions on the discovery channel?
@KyleMurtagh don't get the discovery channel in the uk
Thanks Kyle for this well organized evaluation. I am not very clear about the last part "the bang" if you can please elaborate a bit more so that i am able to use it. Thank you
My pleasure! The bang is all about creating a show stopping, mic-drop moment. I recommend either ending with humour or referring back to a key point within this speech for this part. There are a couple of examples in the video
The most needed content..wow amazing and wonderful as always. I always watch your videos and find something great as a takeaway..🎉
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed it :)
I don't know why this guy only have few subscribers you're contents are really great 🔥
Thanks, buddy!
🎉
i used your videos to help me and won the semi-finals of my district, and the finals are tomorrow. id just like to know if its better to speak directly to the person, in the first person, or to rather speak in the third person, for example speaking ABOUT the person using their name during the evaluation.
Congrats on your success my friend - better to speak in 3rd person!
That was very helpful thank you.
My pleasure :)
"When Cicero spoke, men marvelled. When Caesar spoke, men marched" - Cato. A good public speaker is one who achieves results.
Well said!
I used this formula at my club evaluation contest and won 😃 Thanks for the great tips Kyle!
My pleasure Laura and congrats on your success - you have a lovely club!
Could you tell which people are top class in arguments and convincing skills ? Also any best books around this subject..
'Never split the difference' and 'influence' are good books on this topic
@KyleMurtagh Thanks a Million 😊
I love what you do.. It is really helpful and also it has sense. Also I have to say .. the way you modulate the words handling the language, is great.. Kyle.. I have already suscribed, you deserve it.. looking forward for more.. God bless you. 🍷
Thanks so much, I really appreciate your kind words :)
Awesome video Kyle. I have a contest tomorrow and this video was super helpful. Learned so many helpful tips I did not know before watching.
My pleasure and best of luck for your contest!
Thanks Kyle. I won. I qualified for the District Semifinals in Sri Lanka. Thanks again for the brilliant tips.
damn, I'm here to practice my speech 😓
great job .practice practice practice ! Got it
Thanks! :)
Could you give a tutorial on how to speak in different accents. I have a speech on them
Haha I think that would get me in trouble :D
Thank you for a wonderful, heartwarming and inspiring speech 💗
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed it!
I followed this and won my area competition. Thanks Kyle. Don't forget to note the name of the speaker so you can refer to it in your talk (I forget names easily).
Congrats on your success, Jonathan and very good point about names!
I really liked the video and was very happy to hear all the tips
Glad you found it helpful my friend!
I won my club contest advanced on to area and won as well, now off to the next round of the District Contest. I’ve followed all your suggestions and wanted to thank you for your support
My pleasure and congratulations on your success - best of luck for the next round!
This is really helpful. Thank you so much
Your welcome :)
I was searching your old videos for advice on TT the other day, excellent video thanks Kyle
Thanks buddy, there's a more extensive guide on TT's on my channel that I uploaded back in May - hope you found it!
thank u so much, God bless ya! Please pray for me y''all, have to give my graduation speech tomorrow, but I'll just have fun and know it'll be awesome. Hope it works for anyone watching this too!
My pleasure and best of luck for your speech tomorrow - you'll smash it!
Good video, Kyle! I learned something! 👍
Thanks, Michael - glad it helped!
Kyle, can you suggest how an evaluator can take notes effectively while the test speaker is speaking and yet not miss out on critical sentences / aspects of the speech. Thanks for all the videos on this channel and the effort you took to prepare them.
My pleasure! Here is a video that will answer your question: ruclips.net/video/5OLPxI1NyXg/видео.html&pp=ygUXa3lsZSBtdXJ0YWdoIGV2YWx1YXRpb24%3D
I especially like the first tip. I find if you try to memorize a script, even forgetting one word or phrase while speaking can throw you off a lot. It's better to have a rough outline
Absolutely, I see this all the time too! Scripts only work if you've got A LOT of time to internalise the words
Kyle, you are the best!
Thanks, Malcolm :)
This is a good speech but it comes across as a prepared speech, not an evaluation. Great attempt though. Keep it up
Yeah my style has changed a lot since this
Which club are you a member of?
I'm a member of a few, my main one is Central Toastmasters. Visit sometime if you're ever in Scotland!
Nicely evaluated Kyle! Love that speech 😊 For your next one, how about the famous 'The world ain't all sunshine & rainbows' speech from Rocky Balboa? Lots of life lessons & insights in that one...
That's a great suggestion, Gerry - I'll put it on the list! :)
Bravo Kyle, nicely deconstructed 👏🏼 Epistrophe… what a word! 💡
Thanks Norman, I try to use it in my speeches too :)
I love this speech.
Thanks, Robert - my new one's are quite different :)
I find your videos so helpful. Thank you!👏
@@sahanjayawardana121 My pleasure, thanks for letting me know! :)
😅what if I don’t like having small talk as an introvert?
Hey ChiA, I get where you are coming from as I'm a natural introvert too! Sometimes being introverted does not align with our goals (which in speaking should be connecting with the audience). This means we need to step outside our comfort zone in order to create better results for ourselves and our audience. In other words, don't think and just act - you might find you actually enjoy getting to know your audience :)
You didn't specify what to drink! Great advice Kyle! It's on the presentation on our club's home page. 🥳 I have never tried exercising before a speech before, but I definitely will go for a brisk walk before my next speech! Great tips that are new to me. All of these tips are better than imagining the audience naked. I will also prepare for the worst and steal the mug beforehand 😉
Haha something strong usually does the trick! Thanks so much my friend and I'm looking forward to seeing your new mug :)
I won my club contest with the strategies provided by Kyle this gentleman laid out the perfect strategy for the WIN 🙏🙏🙏
Congrats my man! Keep up the work effort and you'll do great at Area too!
You make even the complex topics feel easy!
Thanks buddy :)
Can you make a table tapics about gender and society?
If the question lends itself to that conversation. But if the topic is: "What's your favourite food?" then talking about gender or society would probably seem quite forced.
Great sharing Kyle, although I joined few years before in TM somehow I never felt confident in doing evaluation. When comes to contest that’s my biggest fear. I find ur technique is interesting & I’m trying to adapt it in my upcoming evaluation contest , see how it works, tks again 🙏🙏
My pleasure and best of luck for your contest - you'll smash it! :)
I've been binge watching your videos and it is very helpful as I will have my table topics tommorow
Glad they are helping my friend and please share the channel with other TMs :)
@@KyleMurtagh THANKYOU! We had our tabletopics today and I actually aced it!
@@karimsharief Amazing, well done my friend!
@@KyleMurtagh When will you come back to Business Speakers, Kyle? I am great fan of your videos. I would never be able to make so great speeches and evaluations as you do. I hope to get one day an evaluation from you too. So that I can learn from you how to improve myself.
@@RobertSchmid-fq9ky Good to hear from you, Robert! I've taken up Salsa dancing and it happens every Thursday night so I can't make MBS anymore. Once I speak better German send me some footage of you speaking and I'll give you feedback!
That title is false advertisement 😄
Haha it doesn't say 'World Champion'.... yet ;)

I'm excited to apply these tips soon 😆
Best of luck with your next topic! :)
Stunning content mate. Cheers
My pleasure!

Good day Kyle , would you say the journey for evaluation contests is judged different from the World speaking contest. I found the speaking contest to be judged more subjective??
I'll reply to your email about this soon, George
Great insights. Thanks for sharing. Im gonna use these techniques for sure.
My pleasure, hope they help!
You are truly a gifted speaker and I say that from a position of being a fantastic speaker. Thank you
Thanks so much, George! Glad you found the video useful :)
