Female Travelers Over 50 By Raewyn Crist

I’m on a mission to inspire and encourage women over 50 to travel safely and with confidence to have the amazing experiences they deserve.
If you’re looking for answers on all things travel from a woman over 50 perspective…
Including details on traveling as a women, flying long haul biz class, to hiring private tour guides, staying at 5 star retreats on a budget, to choosing the right girlfriend to travel with and so much more.
WHO AM I?
I took my first flight at age 17 traveling 8,000 miles to live in another country for a year. I spent 20 years flying to work with my clients every week. And for fun I would jump on a plane to travel to new places or back to my home country of New Zealand to visit.
And in the process racked up over 2 million frequent flyer miles.
I get to live with my hubby and crazy golden retriever a stones throw from the jaw dropping beauty of the Canadian Rockies.
These days I travel solo or with girlfriend(s) since hubby can’t travel like he used to.

Packing Tips For Women Over 50 Traveling
One of the highlights of travel is coming home to this goofball and hubby (another goofball) lol... and why I love sharing my travels with other women over 50 traveling solo
So excited for so many women to get their hands on this and make their solo travels last long beyond the trip in great pics including being in those photos!
Cool info thanks
I loved how you broke this all down, really helpful info.
Wow, that was very informative and detailed. Super helpful. Thank you!!
I can see travel in your future haha 🙂
@@FemaleTravelers50Plus LOL you're not wrong there! 💓💓😂😂
Love your travel blog. very inspiring. Getting me keen to go alone again!
You can so do it!
I loved travelling alone and found it made me more confident. Have not done so for a while but on my list of things to start up again.
Glad to put it back top of mind for you 🙂
Love this! More people should try travelling solo. It's actually quite therapeutic isn't it?
It really is, so many benefits. Its all about taking that first step.
Ladies, this is the easiest travel barrier to overcome. Just look around at how many other women are traveling solo your age, how many communities there are.
Relatable!
Really love this. Catchy tune and a goldie has a cool vibe
Ahhh love this Raewyn! Anything with animals in it is good as far as I'm concerned. Love the music too. 🙌🙌🙌🐾🥰
Agree! Love watching your video
Travel is life!
soooooo true
The more you travel the more you gain confidence and the more change you are willing to embrace :-)
nothing like travel!
This looks like so much fun! What am I waiting for?
Love travelling with my family, haven't done it now that I'm 50 but would like to try soon!
You are not alone in reaching this point but travel is definitely within your reach and so many experiences and memories just waiting for you :-)
I love travelling
Great work Sheli I wish I was off to the airport now!
Have mostly travelled solo, and it is so much fun! Great work!
I have done a little travel on my own and love it. Would love to do more.
I love travelling and wish I could do more!
Great place to start a wish can turn into a dream into a goal :-)
nice work
thank you Candy, much appreciated
OMG love travel. Great pics - especially that one with the man behind you 😂🙌.
Was a scarecrow, this little town in Nova Scotia have an entire scarecrow festival I stumbled upon.
Traveling solo over the age of 50 does not have to be a lonely experience. You're so busy taking in new experiences there isn't time to feel lonely... instead you feel so liberated and joyful :-)
I would love to travel on my own if I could! There's always someone hanging off my arm somewhere 😂😂.
LOL, yes time out on our own is not only a gift but truly does open us up to all kinds of possibilities. I have taken myself off for a weekend on my own to a destination just to work on my business strategy without interruptions :-) It worked.
I travel a ton on my own and really love it
It's amazing to me how as women we hesitate to have what we deserve, we keep putting off that idea of traveling. But when we do travel, not only the world opens up but our minds too 🙂
The hair thing is real but manageable.
Travel so often isn’t about the money it’s all about building up the confidence to make the leap.
My trust travel carry on bag is in its last legs. I’m still reluctant to ditch it. It’s become my good luck travel charm 🥲
Laundry traveling can be a challenge but it doesn’t have to be thanks to the hacks I’ve picked up and love sharing with ladies traveling solo over 50 🙂
Tap “guide” in the comments and I’ll share my free Ultimate Packing Guide with you 👏👏👏
Over 2 million frequent flyer miles later and my hotel selection is still my No 1 priority when planning a trip.
Freedom is a feeling and travel is one if the best ways to get that freedom feeling. Especially traveling with friends.
Missing the UK and it’s wonderful quirks already. Sigh 😔
Looking for the Guide just let me know right here in the comments with “guide”
This is a wonderful video and I am intrigued to read more! ❤
Fantastic there are plenty of blogs to get you going on www.raewyncrist.com😀
I love the idea of this and travelling. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Tina, I'm glad you enjoyed it and here's to that next trip!
You’re so welcome. Glad you enjoyed.
I have to admit, I smiled when I saw Thailand come up. So dear to my heart. Love your blogs Raewyn. They're really well thought out by someone who has been there (you can tell), and super easy to read. Thank you for sharing this with us :-).
Aaaaw I can't wait to get back to Thailand and its not that far away 🙂
I was once so relaxed I fell asleep in the waiting area and slept so soundly I missed the flight. So, now I set my iPhone alarm for 30 minutes before the flight just in case to wake me up.
OMG that must have been so frustrating to say the least. And great tip about setting the alarm on your phone 🙂
