Drove this Rollins Pass route east-west in a rented VW Rabbit in Aug '81. A very large boulder was causing a Jeep Cherokee problems just on the west side of the tunnel but we skipped around it. Looks like somebody took a long time smashing it to pieces. Only later did I discover that this was the original track of the railway before Moffat Tunnel constructed. I wouldn't have walked the timber bridge followed by new wife driving car if I had known. Rocks bashed in the front valance but they didn't spot it when we returned the car.🙄.

Looked like a fun ride. How about more information? What kind of bike? How much did it cost? Did you make the whole trip on one battery? How much regen did you get back into the battery on the downhill side?

Hello. The bike is an E-Cells Super Monarch 1500. I bought it in 2021 for $4400. The trip was made twice on one battery charge. Once as seen in the video and again as my car was parked back at the beginning. Had 10% left on the battery when done for a total on 60 miles, 30 miles uphill. The bike does not have Regen. The bike has two batteries totaling 1638Wh and two motors totaling 1500W.
