Mostly Valheim stuff: Speedruns, playthroughs, and maybe some guides someday. A little No Man's Sky for future trippin.

Single Session 7-Boss Valheim Speedrun (NGRSG) pt1
Saturday
Need a fish 100% category. Fastest to unlock the fishing hat.
A bunch of those things, like "find haldor" are actually categories. I like the full game boss runs but you could probably make that category if you wanted to? Probably like 8 hours or so?
Ok I did the RUclips thing at 4 hrs in.
😊
Thanks everyone for all the support and some special props to Cliff Davis for the monster Donation!
Stoners
Stop dragging my cart around!
Feb 21 right?
Knife ever?
Time is so cool. And it sucks.
Go
Need more info, lol. Hope you liked it!!
I'm currently about 60-65 hours deep into a Very Hard deathless run. I just killed Yag and now moving on to Mistlands. I probably wasted 150 hours on previous attempts dying to stupid mistakes and risks I should not be taking. Deathless runs in Valheim are much more impressive than dying all the time, so I hope you keep on keepin on until you succeed, don't give up, it's good content.
I started speedrunning with Bonemass Deathless category so I'm used to the long grind that can happen before a success! lol GLGL on your run also!
I just got here just in time for the singing lol
Looks like rolling downhill caused the frost breath damage, somehow making the dodge roll fail. I had the stamina to roll after that but looks like we were still confused by the initial damage. "Need" that early turnips for sausage/turnip stew during the Moder fight I guess.
So, how about running constant fire mead while in mistlands, even if you don't think you need it? That one shot out of nowhere was ridiculous
Yeah we ended up talking about that for the next hour or so. I'm thinking for deathless run it's probably worth the extra barley despite a bit more risk in Plains villages. On replay I did have some warning but assumed I was safe near Dvergrs so pretty sure an extra batch or two of fire mead is on the list!
Looks like we actually missed the first Elder, sailed East and FOUND a second Elder. I'm guessing the first Elder was somewhere near that swamp *where we found our turnip seeds and perhaps the navigation struggle was a Sobe issue rather than a Valheim one. I hope.
never dared a no map run... kudos to you doing it... gonna be watching and learning
Havent finished the video yet and maybe you figured it out already but dungeon interiors can be rotated in relation to the outside world. Meaning if you look east before exiting you are not garanteed to look east after exiting. The direction of the vegvesir is the same no matter if inside or outside, thats why you would use a buildpiece to keep the orientation when leaving a dungeon.
Well done! I always try to find a tiny island for a "raid safe base".
Sorry, I dozed off halfway through (curse these timezones!) and couldn't provide any more !advice. My bad! Great job powering through those death loops! That door ratio is absolutely incredible
That pit we dug to get directions has a line NW to SE on the sharp corners. The square pit has NEWS walls and can be used to navigate in the 10th world.
Don't understand why you ditch your spear and armor for troll farming. I get that you want to maximize carry weight, but 1 copper ore weighs 10. A full troll armor set plus a flint spear is. 16.5, so at tops you're sacrificing 1 or 2 ores in exchange for surviving a hit from a troll (i thiink yoiu had rag tunic, troll pants, and leather helm, which should handle a hit if you eat 2 meats), plus being more efficient to delete graylings and what not. I enjoy watching your content, but doing it the way you do likes no sense
On hardcore preset you lose everything in your inventory when you die. Since trolls will one-shot you with/without armor it's simply a waste of time/resources to troll farm with any gear on. Basically it has nothing to do with weight. :)
hey sobe i uploaded a video showing how to dig into the charred fortress, in case you wanted to see. i still think going in through the top is probably faster.
Though not your best run, it was still super entertaining to watch! Your commentary really added to the fun 😁 4:37:50 At your first Lox death, I think the Lox got pushed into you by the Growth’s projectiles in the very last frames of the stomp animation. It’s hard to catch in real-time, and even in slow motion, it’s only a few frames. There was absolutely nothing you could have done to prevent it. That was some brutal bad luck! Also, some wisdom for the next run, and I’m quoting a wise man here: “Be faster. Don’t do dumb stuff!”
Agreed, a truly wise man probably said that... lol :)
Forgot to ask: Sobes greydwarf brute strat vid when?
@@BarefootCookie May have to get into a new video editing suite first... The first episode of "New Blarry" has the Brute strat shortly after the Elder fight if the wait is torture. :) (put it in discord too)
That was some impressive ashlanding and fortressing! Charging in to destroy the spawners and then wiping out the mobs with the hammer through the door is clearly the winning strategy. Well played! Amazing door ratio! Zero-doors-closed run when?!? 🤣
It's pretty stress free too! First fortress is a challenge but once you get the dual-axes it's super manageable! Thanks!
Sobe, this was so cool! You did an amazing job - can't believe it was one session. I watched some of the beginning, but I've been without internet for the week so I was trying to catch some on my phone last night - unfortunately, you finished the run today while I was working. But enough about me! Really great job. I concur that you can chop some serious time off of this. Looking forward to it. Congratulations!! 💯
It was a roller coaster ride of unusual Valheimering but probably last marathon run til Deep North, lol. Hope you enjoy the highlights and thanks so much for the support, you rock!
Thanks for the stream! I couldn't catch it all, but I watched from the end of your queen fight. It was great fun. Congrats on the Class A body recovery in the ashlands!
That was a *short hop away from Viking glory, lol. Thanks for hanging out!
Sobe! Fun watch so far. Saw a lot of it, hopefully can see some of your 1045 run. So much valheim goodness to watch lately!!
I feel your pain! So much solid Valheimery to watch. Thanks for the support!!
Great run. This is the highest scoring saga run I've seen so far
Thanks again for the support! Always fun having you in chat!!
The video is great, you need to keep promoting your channel. Is not hard.
Nice work. Appreciate all the analysis!
@@oathorse-h6q Going to be a fun process! Hope y'all enjoy the runs!
2nd place is amazing! 👏👏👏👏
Thanks Cinnamon!! Just glad we managed over 400 points, runner up was a bonus!
Thanks for the testing, Sobe!
