@@Jodey-lg1xz Thank you Jodey..most of what I know is from trial and error with a little help with others in the business. But the best advice I can give you is to also push the envelope and come up with your own ideas as you learn the different materials that are available to us. A perfect example was when I was explaining to a technical person at the company I get some of my materials from called smooth on..well I explained how I wanted to use a resin instead of plaster for my molds to slush cast my latex masks in..he said to me..wow what a great idea??..I thought wow you mean nobody is doing this he said not to my knowledge..so now I’m taking my sculpture up to them and we are going to video the process for there website possibly just depends on if I can get the time to do it..lol..I think I’m the only one doing this silicone method of making hollow casts of the sculpture in the silicone mold????..just take what you learn and always look for ways to improve it…good luck…DJ Styyles here at CustomCorpses

@@customcorpses444 Thanks, I got a question. I bought several TOTS 78 masks that all look noticeably different in sculpt although they are obviously from the same mold... what causes them to differentiate so much ?

@@Jodey-lg1xz hi Jodey..I think there using multiple molds and the more a mold has been used it loses its details.there most likely using Hydrocal plaster for there molds , you only get about 10 good pulls from a mold I have found before you start seeing the quality drop off noticeably. This is why I’m changing to resin molds..never lose details but you have to slush cast in that type of mold in layers..about 4 slush cast layers and in between you have to put a fan on it and let each layer dry just a touch before doing another layer..the bonus of using this type of mold is it’s light in weight and you never need to worry about losing the details like plaster..plaster you can dwell cast in because the plaster absorbs moisture out of the latex the longer you let the latex dwell in the mold the thicker the mask will be. But this is the reason the molds go bad fast because of the mold absorbing that moisture the mold starts losing details really fast..thanks for the question have a Merry Christmas
