Hi i'm Angela Hayes, feel free to contact me if you'd like to visit my Lodge.
I’m going to Zambia in August (Lower Zambezi, Kafue, South Luangwa).
This is one of my top 5 trips I’m yet to make, it was a very interesting watch. Was hoping for more bird stills but that list has been noted for my visit 🤗 another great video, thank you ❤
That early morning walk to the BBC hide was so terrifying for me, combined with my fear of heights it was absolutely exhilarating. The view from the top is truly humbling, God sure has a beautiful mind❤️ Thank you for this video, brought back so many beautiful memories 🤗
Oh you definitely must have stopped for those mushrooms, they’re Zambia’s finest 🤗🤗
Stunning trip. Off the beaten track. Well done guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome video. I grew up in Zambia and we went to the Kafue River often. Also those years. Caught 'katemba' and fried and ate it. Was super
Glad you enjoyed it and that it brought back all those memories
Its kapenta
These vieos are great. Thanks so much.
Thanks Phillip, I'm glad you're enjoying them

Nice video, thank you for that. I was there in early September this year and saw five leopards in five days, actually in to sightseing, one mother with to almost adults youngster aon a loop around Hook bridge and another female with another sub-adult on a termitaria islands on the Busanga plains.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Wow, you were fortunate with all those Leopard
I look forward to watching your videos. I did a similar trip in 2015 with a friend. We drove from Pretoria to Uganda and back. We visited numerous parks including Nyika, Ruaha, Selous, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Maasai Mara, Buffalo Springs, Samburu, Murchison Falls, Bwindi, Katavi, Kasanka, South Luangwa, Kafue, Chobe, and Hwange.
Wow your trip sounded fantastic! I'm working on the next episode now
Nice video. I visited the plains in 2013. The bird life was magnificent. Zambia is a wonderful country. Nice video. Thanks for posting.

This is life. I wanna drive that route one day.
Keep watching the episodes for route tips and stopover details. Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning. Looks like you had a gas. Can’t wait for the other episodes.
Glad you enjoyed it Murray - we had a complete gas!
That looks awesome! Looking forward to joining you on your adventures 😃
Lekker kort, insiggewende video - maak my lus vir Kaokoveld.
Very informative thank you
Magnificent video and photography. What was your fuelburn?
We burn 6.5 ltrs for every km and we did about 4500km. We are now on a 12000km trip and expect a fuel bill of R60,000!
Wel done for the Black Stork! Magnificent trip...
Thanks for this. Love the home coming!

I have been following your three part series from Zambia with great interest and pleasure! I am from Sweden. Me and my wife have recently purchased and refitted a 1995 Toyota LC, 80 series. It is now based in Cape Town and we have just started enjoying it, going on a 4 week safari to Botswana in March 2022 and another one in October 2022. Our next trip is scheduled for September this year. We live in Sweden and still work part time but we have made a pledge to ourselves to take a trip with the truck at least twice a year. When we retire in a couple of years we may hopefully extend that in time. Our scope is definitely to explore the countries of southern Africa and who knows where adventure will take us in the future! We are really interested in gathering as much information as possible about different destinations, accommodations, stop overs, sights and natural wonders to see and experience. Not to mention wildlife encounters which we thrive on! This is why we just love watching videos like yours which give us the drive and courage to do what you do! We have no specific questions or comments for you at this time but we would like to ask you this: you mention more than once in your videos that you are often quite alone at your destinations. Did you book a lot of campings and lodges beforehand or did you often "wing it" in Zambia? Is it very much depending on time of year? Good luck with the Tanzania trip! Looking forward to the videos! Best regards Per von Hofsten
Hi, thanks for your message. You will have great fun with your 80 series in Southern Africa. A few of the trips we did were during Covid and then we could "wing it", but otherwise always better to book
Where are you going in September?
@@freeonfour It will be another visit to Botswana because we love it so much but also because we are bringing friends with us who are visiting for first time. They are renting a 4x4 and we’ll be touring the country for a month.
@@PervonHofsten if you need any help or suggestions just let me know
Lovely photos and videos, well done Karin & Richard! The bat migration definitely on the bucket list. All the best with your Tanzania adventure.
Thanks Murray

Kafue looks amazing
Yes, it had a proper "untouched" feel, definitely worth another visitor

Great watching your videos Richard! Do you require Yellow Fewer cert for Zambia? And did you need Police clearance certificate for your vehicle?
Hi Charles, I'm glad you are enjoying them. For Zambia you need police clearance but not yellow fever. If you intend ever going to Tanzania then get your yellow fever vac done. Doctors are hesitant to do it if you're older than 60
@@freeonfour Great thanks Richard. Did you get the Police clearance here locally before you left?
@@charlesdutoit3987 yes, I got it at the Vehicle license depot in Waltloo Pretoria
Thanks, looking forward to your video on Kasanga
Makes me want to join you both 😂 .. I love mana but of late it’s getting out of control with vehicles and people .. thanks for sharing your adventures .. really appreciate it and enjoyed this very much . 🙏🏻👌🏻
Yes it was quite busy - next time we will go to a wilderness campsite
Regardless of the music I appreciate the effort you made and no doubt in time your editing will improve ten fold .. I loved the commentary and simple camping experience shared . Most RUclips channels like this I find everyone is spending a lot of time talking about gear .. etc . This channel is pleasant and refreshing . Great job 👏
Rhodesia 1, thank you. It is not as easy as most people think
Watching from Kenya 🇰🇪❤️
Great, I hope you are enjoying them. We are driving up to Serengeti in a few weeks time, so will be right next door to you
There were some seriously nail biting moments
Glad you enjoyed it
Are these the guy's who the tractor ran into? ruclips.net/video/XPKGzuqbjfI/видео.html
That happened while we were there, but thankfully it wasn't us
This is what I thought as soon as he said that the tractor had ran into a backie
@@cdizzle2812 The tractor ran into the 'Expedition Zimbabwe' vehicle
Wow, 0,8 Bar! What is the risk of the tyre coming off the rim?
You're pretty safe so long as you dont make any fast sharp turns
Nice video with a route to Zimbabwe less travelled! Pity that the commentary sound is sometimes a bit low and hard to hear over the rock music in the background! Maybe a small adjustment is in order? 😊
Sorry about that - it was my first video and I was still coming to grips with how it should all work
Great waching these videos, thank Richard
Glad you like them!
Good grief no thanks 😂😅 I was sweating just watching that ha ha breathtaking scenery though and love the background music too!
Glad you enjoyed it
