Hello i am very proud of what you are accomplishing however please look into rock and concrete retaining walls so you are protected if the bad storms and flooding comes again. If possible also look into a small hut above to shelter weather if need be.

And they are cutting down the try behind you you are most likely in dangerous of mud slides

Suggest to install a safety front door lock for safety purposes especially when the family go out of the house. I liked your window cover its safe at night. and unique

The way you installed the door hinges is correct (inside not outside the door jam, as I noticed most of Vietnamese house in the mountain villages they are installing the hinges on the outside which is not safe as it can be easily destroyed or the door can be easily taken out.

The workmanship is also good (all woods to be installed is to be polished also) so its easy to paint and to avoid more dust or so dusty during painting

Your house needs extended roofing in order to preserve the woods life span.

Not advisable to construct a house so near in the stream because its so dangerous during rainy season as said place is prone to strong floods that can wash away your house and all your animals raised thereat, bear in mind that SAFETY in your family is so important.

Hello you both!😊 It's good to compare rural life in Vietnam with that in Germany. It reminds me of my childhood (78 years ago) when I lived with my mother on my grandparents' farm. I still live in the same house today, but apart from a garden, there is no longer any field work/harvesting. I wish you all a peaceful week.🥰💝❤
