White Tiger Project is a digital archive of audio and video memories of East Africa recalled by descendants of Indian migrants (indentured laborers) who settled in the UK, researched, and compiled by the visual artist Alia Pathan. This website also tracks the progression of the project during residencies at Attenborough Arts Centre in Leicester and Space 118 in Mumbai.
The White Tiger Research & Development Project has been supported using public funding from Arts Council England. The project continues to grow aiming to provide useful links to ongoing research, interviews with second and third-generation descendants of East Africa and India living elsewhere in the world.

Recorded during UK lockdown due to the Corona pandemic and BLM protests the participant reflects on traumatic inter-racial tensions and positive cultural connections that come from the post-colonial legacy of the Ugandan Asian exodus (1972)
