WOW...I know exactly where that is. I'm totally watching that. When I was living in Park Slope between 4 and 5th Ave on President St in Brooklyn -- I had a PT job as a U.S. Census taker in like 2000. Since nobody wanted to do it - I took the route that had the Wyckoff Gardens Projects in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn (only blocks away from where I lived, but worlds away in aura and atmosphere). I just wanted the challenge - as well as observational excitement. I naively really had no idea how crime infested it was, and Spike Lee shot "CLOCKERS" there. As soon as I entered their courtyard to enter the building; a woman comes up to me and goes, "AHHHH.. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'RE A COP OR WHAT...BUT YOU CAN'T BE HERE. ESPECIALLY AFTER DARK, DON'T BE HERE." I blew off the warning and slithered through the building knocking on apartments to do the interviews. And 80% the people that talked to me told me to not hang around there too long. It was an eerie as fuck warning. For some Spidey-sense reason, I didn't trust the elevator, and I took the project's stairwell (probably stupidly). Every time I passed someone, they eyeballed me like I was Serpico or something. But what an eye opening experience that was. A few times a month since that Census job, I would regularly look at police logs for the area. It was going over a small fence in left field - when Rob McInerney robbed me of my only HR with an illegal glove. My swing is usually a fraction of a second late and it went opposite field like 90% of the time. Probably due to comically bad vision as well my whole life. I also struck out a lot, in every way.
