Welcome to my homestead ! My wife and I welcome you to watch as we take on a more self reliant roll in the life we live. I have done many garden's over the year's but never enough to do us for very long. My wife is a very good cook and has lots of recipes to share with you. we also are going to have bee's coming in April or June so we can be more sweet and have the luxury of honey for years to come. COLD ARTIC AIR ON THE WAY TO THE HOMESTEAD! I took the day and got my chicken run ready for the cold air. The temperature of this blast is predicted to be down to eight degrees with wind chills down to twenty below zero. I hopefully got this right and my chickens stay warm and no more frost bite. Homesteading for one year and what I have been doing for the week. We are up to 41 animals on the homestead and I believe we are going to stop for a year on the animals and concentrate on guardians this year ad growing in the greenhouse. Did u use 16 foot panels ? Also how wide is the side with the door, on the ground outside to outside ? And how tall is the center ? I'm trying to do somthing similar ans trying to get a material list together and a dimensions
Yes I used 16 ft panels, the door from outside to outside is 32 inches. The center is 9 ft 6inches tall. I would recommend concrete the 4x4s at least 2 1/2 ft. There is a lot of pressure on the walls at a higher side walls.

Have you thought of solar ?... One on my sister's 16 by 14 greenhouse & it's been a great advantage for a long winter in Vermont. Great seeing the new growth. 👍🙏🏼👍

im not a fan of the weed barrier..... weeds come out through the planting holes and staple holes and edges of the fabric along walk ways and makes it a pain in the ass to weed/cultivate with a hoe..... its more work with it

I give the Dumore with the blue label from Tractor Supply.
That's a huge egg!Wonderful to have fresh eggs. You have some healthy, happy hens there.
The bugs on the Tomato plants are Aphids.
Believe it or not. I had never seen them tell now. Thank you for telling me what they are. I'll try to treat for them next growing season.

Neem oil will keep bugs away... We used it on ours . Cicadas & caterpillars thought they were going to home in them. Fooled em... 👍

Guineas are the best my grandparents always had Guinea fowl. They a rowdy bird.

I wish I could send you some . There was a drought here, and now we are in the big flood watch. We hope to can a lot to run us for a year. I'm just hoping everything makes it through too much rain.

You should really get back into bigfoot hunting plus this gardening do both at same time I miss the adventure you took us on
I would but what I discovered on three different occasions There is nothing I would do to prove to anyone that they exist. They are not what you think and they are unpredictable most of the time. When these things started effective you home life and mentally effecting your thoughts why your not even thinking of them or the next spot. I had fun doing what we were doing but at the end . It was a night one right after another. In this day and time the way things are going I feel the need to be more self sustainable for what's coming and it's taking all my time and hard work to do this Homestead. I hope you still like coming along with us on the new journey because I'm glad to have you here.
