Pool Resurface 2020
Просмотров 31 тыс.4 года назад
I hired a local pool company to resurface our swimming pool. My security camera filmed the whole project so I thought it might be interesting to upload, in case anyone else wonders what a pool resurfacing looks like. Several commenters have asked about the materials used. It's not paint nor epoxy. It is a layer of bonding agent (acrylic modified cement and sand mixture) followed by a layer of p...
Kitchen Faucet Replacement

How to replace a Moet kitchen faucet and sprayer.
YOU DA BEST!
😊 Thank you!
Great job by the team Cost?
Was the water that was pumped out reused?
No. If I remember correctly, I believe they pumped the old water into the yard and used my faucet to refill the pool. My water bill increased that month but the water company gave me a "pool refill" credit to partially offset the increase.
@@happy_trails is this something that you called and negotiated?
@@brunotorres3403 No, I just went online to my local water utility's website and filled out their "Pool Fill Adjustment Request Form." I am guessing not all utility companies offer it. Fortunately, ours does. It saved us a little bit of money on the water bill that month, but not much.
How long do you have to wait after the resurfacing? Do I even have to wait?
We used the pool as soon as they were finished. It was a 3 day project.
Looks like pretty much a primer and then a paint, is that correct?
No, this was cement and plaster.
Imagine that one family member that wasn’t given the meme, comes back from trip, dives into the pool 🏊♂️ while it’s being still worked on!
I watched the timeline; 3 guys for 5 hours the first day, and 3 guys for 6 hours the second day. Figuring time to pick up supplies, travel etc. it’s probably 2 days for 3 laborers x 8 hours = 48 hours. Paid $3500 overall and supplies +/- $300 so labor was about $65/hr. each. I need to have this done to my pool and trying to decide if I want to tackle myself. Possibly I can find a few experienced guys on a weekend and pay $30/hr cash. 2 days x 6h = 24h labor ($720) plus $300 materials and $300 for tools and equipment rental (trash pump & mixer). Hopefully a max of $1500. Could save $2k.
Good luck to you if you decide to go that route. I have to say these guys were highly experienced and it definitely showed in the quality of the work. Personally, I would be hesitant to risk it with inexperienced or unskilled workers. But to each his own. Good luck!
There's much more behind that price man. Equipment costs, we have to pay insurance for our workers in case anyone gets hurt while working in your property they can't sue you because they're covered under our insurance. Also there must be a profit, Us contractors are not in the bussiness of working for hour wages, if we were what would be the point on even taken the responsibility on taking a job. I know you're trying to save as much possible but at the end, the cheapest is always the worst possible. You'll end up spending double if things don't go your way, and if you don't have experience, and the guys you hired said they do but they really don't it'll be a whole mess. But good luck to you.
often get what you pay for. Going cheap can be the most expensive option
why not do it yourself, will cost you about 500$
I think you underestimate the man-hours and skill level required for a job like this. These guys are professionals and it definitely shows in the work.
What product are you using to roll ,thank you
