An EXCELLENT album indeed. It was my introduction to Marillion in 1993 (via college floor mates from Bulgaria), and then I listened to Seasons End, then Clutching at Straws, and so on and so forth. Two different eras in Marillion's history (two legendary different lead singers), but both tremendous in their own right (the 2nd era is STILL going in 2024 and in to 2025!). Cheers!

Nice choice Uncle Ernie! I "ACCEPT" your album of the day. Ahhh, see what I did there? METAL is a land of shadows. Iron Maiden had many bands in their shadow, the so called "big 4" of thrash had many bands in their shadows... Accept is one of those bands that I feel would've been a lot bigger were it not for all of those shadows. I forget what movie it is, but there’s some Italian horror movie that uses Fast as a Shark in a wild scene. It’s exactly what you’d think it would be for Italians…some guy on a motorcycle, riding in a movie theater, and fighting monsters as this song is blaring. Worth checking out!

Robert Calvert was / is an absolute lyrical genius. A poet warrior, revolutionary and visionary. His lyrics on these albums are especially so far ahead of their time and still more relevant than ever. He was basically trying to warn people outwith the 'counter culture' (as they already knew how messed up mainsteam society was) that everyone was slipping towards an impending 'corporate dystopia' (and he was right) .

Brilliant rendition....glad I'm not the only one whom recites Hawkwind poetry / songs while wandering around the wilderness in Scotland. Rocky paths winding round, the inspiration is to be found 😎✊🌠🪐🌝🌛

Nice choice Uncle Ernie. Back when S.W.O.D. was new, the incredibly high, sustained notes that Rob would hit were a rare thing indeed and I'd imagine that most folks had never heard the like. Priest is among the very few life long bands that I have. They've almost always been behind my eyes and between my ears... where it counts most. Something quick & funny before I cease annoying you. When you reply with a thumbs up to one of my comments your thumbnail has that road sign that says DILDO. You might laugh at the fact that in Florida there's a town called MIANUS.
