So detailed and helpful! I really appreciate your focus on accessibility, it's so healing!
Thank you 😊

What grade cheesecloth do you recommend? Thank you for sharing :)
I just use cheap stuff but make sure it is about 4 layers so it catches the debris.
Thanks very much Four hives in rural Ontario Just setting up for Christmas candles Always good to remind myself of what needs to be done.
I’ve just hatched 2 last night! 😁
Aw cute, I never thought of giving them a teddy❤
Can you dehydrate the tougher stalk part and grind it up into a powder?
I haven’t done that but think it’s a great idea.
@@BackThirdAcre my friend in MI is sending me some starter bulbs.. I might try it next year with a couple to see if it works. I've never heard of these before and your video is very informative. Thank you for posting.
Thank You!
I keep getting only one hattching i normally have 11 - 12 eggs
I have had that happen sometimes, old hens so poor quality eggs, temp or humidity errors. Could be many reasons.
Good video. I'm hatching my first clutch of eggs now. I'm going to keep them in a small chicken coop like yours. Can you tell me if they smell bad. Should I keep coop far away from house.
Great content ❤
Thank you
can you do one where you hatch ducks? my grandma said shell buy me a duck or quail if i write erything about them
I would love to except I am not allowed to have ducks where I live 😟.
You can't just have 1 duck or 1 quail that's extremely cruel! Ducks are super messy and need a constant water source to swim In. I have quails and they are very easy to care for obviously the most important thing is that you have a secure predator proof aviary to house them in with a solid roof
I've been watching a lot of incubating hatchings and I was very surprised that most didn't put something down for the little chicks legs and feet to grip and it was really wonderful to see that you actually do that..I am incubating button Quail, and because of your video, I bought kitchen liner and cut it out for the lockdown..❤ Thank you
Thanks for the feedback. The liner makes such a big difference in reducing splay leg and helping any weaker ones get a good start. Those little button quail are so cute 🥰
@BackThirdAcre I totally agree. I just wish more breeders/ farmers, would give that little extra help.. They really are adorable..❤️
I just put my eggs in the incubater last night first time doing it hope my eggs hatch ok
Thank you, we currently have Japanese knotweed taking over out front yard and morning glory taking over the back
I love your black quail!
exactly the information I was looking for- thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
nice job I learned a lot
The plucker is amazing, I’ve only ever done it fully by hand! Wow!
This is something we want to do with friends too. So great to hear all the numbers and process!
Wow this was the most helpful video thank you so much
You're so welcome!
Thanks and great video. It would be really helpful to "see" on the video how much you water the seeds initially.
Great suggestion!
Thank you for such great detail. This video was very educational for me.
You are so welcome!
Using the paint brush to clean the grinder was a good tip.
Glad it was helpful!
cut this video down to 4 minutes. you dont need to keep repeating yourself. i had to listen to it at 1.5x speed to make it better. otherwise good, thank you
how many plants per cattle panel?
I usually put two squash plants on each side so as they grow up the arch they meet at the top.
@@BackThirdAcre thanks
nicer vid, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for showing this process and being so detailed!
You are so welcome!
TAMO JUNTO 🤜🤛
I grew leutschauer (spicy) and kalocsa (sweet) paprika peppers two seasons ago. Both were high-yielding varieties. I smoked, dehydrated, and ground them just as you did and ended up with nearly a quart of paprika powder from each. I’m going to have to grow them again next year as I will surely be out of my paprika by then…it is so good! Great video!
Thank you, we make alot and give it as gifts during the holiday season. We make sure to keep a large amount for ourselves as well 😊.
do you sell hatching eggs?
I occasionally sell some locally (Victoria, British Columbia) if you are in Canada try Breezy Bird Farm in Manitoba ( they ship across Canada).
Loved this video! Straight to the point and very educational. It helped me a lot!
Thank you for watching and glad to hear it helped.
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you so much!
Thanks Linda. These are great tips. I’m just a few years into urban homesteading too and your points make sense on some of the struggles I’ve had. Btw, I found you through Justin Rhodes A/P map. We are island neighbours!!! ☺️
Oh hello, thanks for reaching out. I have subscribed to your channel 😊
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
Excellent work love, exactly what I wanted straight to the point. Not look at the rest of my house and ahhhh you know what I mean 👍
Thank you 😊
Does the yellow disappear? I think iv a new black but need to have better look hopefully i get it to my collection
The yellow turns white. The black comes from Tuxedo colouring so may have small white patches. If I were breeding them I would choose a pair with no or minimal white markings.
@@BackThirdAcre the chick i have only has small yellow markings so should turn out great, trying to get more hens bit to many males lol
Your garden and video is absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much 😊
Very cool! First time seeing a honey harvest
Thats a ton of bees! 😮😮🐝🐝
A hive at the peak of summer has approx 30,000 bees 🐝
Beautiful garden
Thanks for visiting
Beautiful garden
Thank you 😊
Nice tutorial 😁
Thanks 😁
Nice pepper growing tips! New subscriber from the island 😁
Thanks it is great to make the connection with you and others from the island.
What size grow bags did you use in this video?
I think these were 10 gallon bags.
Thank you so much for this instruction. I cannot seem to find the Szeged Sweet Paprika where I am in Ohio(Im from Cleveland, so being in the country I am totally out of my element of finding spices I usually found easily back home). 🤗🙏💕🌎💝
Growing these exact same peppers with this intent also! How long do you put them in the smoker for?
I use a Little Chief smoker and smoke them for 4 hours (2-3 pans of wood chips). Enjoy !!!
What temp do you smoke them at? Ours just indicates low-med-high.
I just got a black one with white underneath
Any advice on where to find good quality 3-gallon nursery pots at a reasonable price? I need a dozen and shocked at the cost I'm seeing from stores here.
I have found people giving them away on Facebook gardening groups for your area or hydroponic stores have them WAY cheaper than garden centres.
Awesome, how did you get the black quail? they’re so cute
I ordered hatching eggs for black coloured quail from Breezy Bird farm in Manitoba. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing
