If you know scales and root notes it all falls into place quite easily. Just a very large amount of practice and determination helps 😂

@@dan27052 That would be a prop hair dryer for the noise...no drill...Pail Gilbert pioneered the drill in Racer X, and Gilbert & Sheehan perfected it in Mr.Big LONG before Eddie used the idea in the opening of Poundcake...Mr. Big were DUETING in the solo with Gilbert & Sheehan....

appreciate the breakdowns of riffs. I think it would be helpful to understand the key and how the notes fit in there for future videos. Like this one, the chord appear to be out of key of CM/Am but its Gmixolydian according to the internet. Why does this song have that key as opposed to C/Am?
