    Is this protaper handlebar very slippery to the touch? I was surprised because I always see chrome handlebars. I'm afraid that I bought a fake or that the steering wheel will rotate on the stem.

Cheap ski gear they are cold and wet on a powder day after one or two runs, expensive stuff they can go all day until the leg muscles give out.

    Hello :). I recently purchased a set of Arc MT006 hubs, 100/135 QR. I'm currently preparing for a wheel and need to figure out the correct spoke lengths. I have already used a Spoke calculator... I need someone to help me with the below questions. Especially if you have built a wheelset with the arc mt006. I'm using the WTB KOM light i25 rims with an ERD of 604mm. (Rim weight: 455g) I've been told that you should add about 3mm to the rim ERD to account for the spoke nipples, which =707. Is that a correct practice? How much should I add to the rim to account for the nipple? The technical diagram available for the Arc MT006 is a bit confusing, and I can't seem to figure out what the correct flange circle diameter is. The measurements I input where. Front hub: 32H, lacing 3x, weight:160g Width 100mm. PCD: 58/45, Nut to Flange: 28.1/ 13.7, Nut to center: 21/36.3. Rear hub: 32H, lacing 3x, weight 240g, width 135mm, PCD: 58/44, nut to Flange: 31.57/48.15, Flange to centre: 36/20. The hub uses 14G spokes. Recommended nipple length is 12mm? When using the DT Swiss calculator the total recommended spoke lengths come out at, Front (L/R): 293mm/294mm. Rear (L/R): 294mm/295mm. Could you possibly tell me if I have gone about the calculation correctly?

    • @kylehasfun3114
      @kylehasfun3114 8 месяцев назад

      Best advice man is just Google "spoke calculator" and punch in the specs and get the lengths. I recommend using 2 different calculators to compare.

    Have this same bike and after watching this video decided to make sure my 2022 EVO Stumpjumper did in fact have the same ratchet system. And as usually happens when I try to do something after watching a RUclips video I encountered weirdness. Pulled the cassette off with my hands, checked and yep, Star Ratchet system, made sure the springs were oriented correctly, put the cassette back on, put the wheel on the bike, turned the pedals and found I had turned my bike into a fixie. What the heck???? Dismounted the wheel and removed/replaced the cassette several times and still had the fixie problem. Took the wheel to the LBS where a mechanic well versed in DT Swiss hubs found that the axle seal had dropped into the hub body where I couldn't see it (it's small, black and looks like a sag ring on a fork) and without the seal in the correct place, too much force was being transferred to the hub when I tightened the axle not allowing the ratchet to disengage. Watching numerous installation videos for this system I have never seen the axle seal mentioned so I thought I would post about my experience in case someone else encounters this.
