How to Power Search Craigslist and find YOUR TOP PICK!
The most important thing in the auto industry is to get young people interested in the cars because they simply don’t want them and they’re not interested. It’s like a brick wall. History must be kept so as our marketplace reflects many of the highly restored motor vehicles that old men want The funny part about old men. Is they running out of time now? If you could find a bottle of time you would make a fortune regards Allyson from down under.
1972 is the last year before the motors were castrated.
I would love to find one with those actual miles in the Boss 351
The industry is screwed. It’s a big club, and we ain’t in it.
Needs the 400ci, 4bbl.
Ah yes the GTNO
Agree 100%, new cars today have no soul. You rarely distinguish from model, make, or year😐
Prospective buyers should be aware that the car has only a small hatch through which to access the engine.
4.... stroke. All piston engines have one complete cycle. They vary by the number of....strokes, not cycle(s).
I'll give you five grand for it.
Nice looking car. GM leather holding up better than expected
Always a wonderfully quirky automobile. I love em
Robb always brings expert analysis, sensible advice, and intelligently-chosen feature cars. If there's another resource that's even remotely close to being this honest and relevant for modern classic buyers, I am certainly not aware of it!
My maternal grandfather bought himself a '77 coupe just as a 2nd car for himself when he retired. My grandmother drove their Caprice/Impala (depending on which year they bought) and he just did his thing. It was B-A-S-I-C with the only option being the rally wheels and A/T. Bare metal everywhere. My mother borrowed it for the summer of 1981 so I could have a car to drive while I was visiting (her '72 510 wagon was mine to use) and she really liked driving it around.
Saw his ad also in Craigslist in Southern California . 76 was a terrible year because of the 4 speed tranny
I would buy that in a heartbeat😍😍 I was born in 89 and my grandfather had a beautiful same color red 86 he bought new and it had the red pillowtop leather and every option including the digital gauges. Many great memories and as a child sitting in front playing with the many ways power seats lol
Guess what??? It's a FOUR speed car, not 5!
Xr-7 Rob. R X-7 is a mazda
Damn I want one again.
Fury ran until 1988
I just picked up this exact car if you’d like an update!
Congratulations! Hope you enjoy it!
The car that got Virgil Exner fired. A significant piece of automotive design. The original prototypes featured asymmetrical headlight pods and similar treatment on the back. The long hood, short deck look would come back a few years later on pony cars.
Elwood Engel was Virgil Exner's replacement.
the 1974 pontiac gto that you talked about a few months back is now a johnny lightning toy car featured in a red color. it is the first time they came out with that body style I believe from a major company that specialized in making those. so you are right. it should get more attention and will just increase in value in the future.
My 1991 ZR1 had an electrical issue that the shops could not find and fix, Nice car but was not reliable for me.
Has been for sale well over a year and a half. Had a 3rd party inspection done in Nov 2022. Good condition overall. Unfortunately, owner wouldn't come down on price very much.
There were only 7,600 of these made. I had one just like this white one.
the johnny lightning toy company is selling this right now on the site. type in 1974 pontiac gto. they are very limited edition. you can buy one now for around fourteen dollars.
I had a 1991 Chrysler New Yorker. Great looking car, comfortable to ride in and drive. However, the engines were not the most reliable in the long run and the transmissions were suspect for reliability. I sod it after 3 years as the engine was starting to act up. I should mention that I always do preventative maintenance on my vehicles and never abuse them. There were a few years in this segment of Chrysler's history that even though the cars were great looking, they did have reliability issues.
I'm with Andy. That is a give-a-way price. Last year on bring a trailer 1 really clean example sold in the mid 40's and later on another sold for $62K Yes. The sale went through. I've got mine listed for $42k.. It's a 1969 and is almost show room with 63,400 miles. His price is based on what he wants from the car is all I can figure???
Guess again ..This car is not worth 30K…..Trust me I know …Not even worth 27K….
I don't recall the car ever being sold with triple Stromberg carbs, my '72 had dual Strombergs - I'm confused about your comment they went for carbs in '76?! Strombergs ARE Carbs...?? ALL US cars got carbs, only non-US cars got Petrol Injection (PI)
That mileage and condition, as long as it has no rust, it should be twice the price!
I bought the 78’ Electra and it’s in like new condition! Truly that nice honestly if he would of advertised better and added more photos and information he could of gotten $10-$12k ALL DAY
Is this car still available.
Nice. I remember those cars.
The Avanti did not use the Monte Carlo chassis until 1987. 1985 was the last year of the original Studebaker frame. There was no 1986 Avanti.
Hoping all transmission (A604) recalls and services have been performed. Peak ‘k-car’. Then, the LH cars showed up a few years later , along with the beginning of a relationship with Daimler Benz. My 2020 300S 5.7 is an excellent reflection of that woefully short , but very positive relationship.(for Chrysler).
I’ve been looking at this but I’m a bit skeptical. Looks like it was bought for 1500.00 previously and recently. Seems like someone got a phenomenal deal but why hasn’t it been sold. Looks beautiful. Hmm. Wish I knew the history and when it was restored… lots of questions. Bob
There is a beautiful pimento red in my ten, black convertible top, seems to be in excellent condition under a car port, not driven much;, will not enqwire, because people don't want you to approach, because of home invasion and high crimes,.;times have changed.😮
I can tell you this built my hand by the British is never quality. The car might be restored but will never be finished.
I owned one in 1976.A white one I bought in Indianapolis. 73 now and looking for another before I kick off. This one is edgy. Almost too good to be true. Like you , it looks beautiful. Thanks for your critique. You did a great job.
Just by looking at it, it reminds me of the Spirit Of America Nova back in 1974.
Bought one in ok shape in the 90s, 60000 miles 600$!
When Chrysler dropped its name from the Imperial, the Imperial still looked like something built by Chrysler. They just couldn't get away from it. Dual master cylinders began to appear on most makes by 1967.
I've had the FJ1100 and the Turbo coupe. Nice to see them still out there and in great condition.
I always liked the styling of these, but they shoulda put in a 3800.
Why are people thinking late 70s and 80s cars are worth this much. They were junk then and they still are.
I recently picked up an all original 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Landau. I bought it from the original owners 74 year old Daughter whose 96 Mother just passed away and was sitting in her garage since 1994. The odometer currently reads 14,872 and the swivel bucket seat interior has no rips and appears nearly perfect. It even has a good fresh smell in it. It is fully loaded with power windows, door locks, a/c (which I just replaced the compressor on) tilt wheel, cruise control and full guage package. It also is. G code car which means it has the optional 400 CID (6.6 Liter) V-8. All in all that Cutlass is nice but I got my Monte Carlo for about $8000 less even though I put about $3000 into it ,so far.
19K for that thing? Really...?
Hi Robb, I’m Brad. Can I ask you for a 60’s-79 ford or Chevrolet pickup truck video please?
Love the channel. Keep the videos coming please
