The reason why you get this so wrong is you don’t understand who the anti-type is in the New Covenant to the OT type for Israel! Israel was a “set apart people in the old covenant era! The anti-type IS NOT ISRAEL!!! The set apart people in the new covenant ARE BELIEVERS!!! Being an Israelite represented being a believer today even though most of them weren’t in the end! Being a gentile in the old covenant represented being an unbeliever in the new covenant, EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THEM ARE BELIEVERS!!! Your typology is confused, brother!

My goodness, Joel, you disproven your own assertion with your marriage analogy! Marriage is until death OR DIVORCE! I think it is clear that your eschatological opponents are saying that God divorced Israel! The Abrahamic covenant was given to Abraham, certainly, but there were stipulations in the later Mosaic covenant regarding their ability to physically possess it. So who was cursed under the Mosaic covenant and had proven that they WERE NOT THE SEED OF ABRAHAM??? Everyone except Christ!!! Even the apostles and believers failed to be a son under the terms of that covenant and Christ was the only “begotten” son of Israel/God to INHERIT under the will and testament of God!!!! The apostles required a new covenant which DID NOT give them what was promised under the old! What the New Covenant recipients inherited was a figurative marriage to THE ONE WHO DID INHERIT, thus receiving THROUGH MARRIAGE ONLY, the very thing they lost under the original covenant! Who owns the land? CHRIST DOES! Who has dominion over the land? CHRIST DOES! What does the land represent? Exactly what Adam lost, THE GARDEN!!!!! Who “toiled” the garden so ALL BELIEVERS under the new covenant can dwell with God there? THE LAST ADAM DID! Adam toiled the fallen land as a “slave to his master Satan” fruitlessly, but Christ “TOILED” it until it BECAME NEW, as in a NEW CREATION, AS A SLAVE TO GOD! Then he entered INTO REST dwelling with God in the NEW CREATION, THE GARDEN RENEWED, AND EVERYONE WHO TRULY BELIEVES WILL ENTER INTO REST WITH HIM BECAUSE OF HIS FINISHED WORK OR “TOIL!!!”

Daniel 9:27 in the Septuagint acknowledges these are the sacrifices of THE LORD: « And one week shall establish the covenant with many: and in the midst of the week MY sacrifice and drink-offering shall be taken away: and on the temple [shall be] the abomination of desolations; and at the end of time an end shall be put to the desolation. » Meaning if THE LORD acknowledges these sacrifices belonging to Him, so too is the (Third) Temple where the sacrifices are being made.
