I ran into a guy that would run deliveries for us, and he said it's slow for him. After watching this video I believe you guys go through too much considering many of you say you're your own boss. I rode with my dad OTR in the summers, and not one shipper said anything about it. Most of them even had candy bowls available for the truckers' kids. I hope that your industry wakes up.

This seriously is a great strategy, especially for folks just dipping their toe in. I have been building sales funnels and no code websites for online entrepreneurs and small mom and pop businesses kocally. It has been OK but not super great. I have puvoted my business a little bit to help with business automation and tech and that seems to be working better. I don’t know if I will love this but I am doing a similar strategy to see if the ROI is there..

I have applied and they said it was $5.00 for under 10 miles and .75 cents for miles over 10 miles. ($20 - $30 an hour.) They also want you to upgrade your full coverage auto insurance to business. They didn't say anything about paying for the hippa certificate, but they said $30 for the background check will come out of the 1st check. I'm on the east coast. I'm on the fence if I should continue with the process or not.

My worst experience is delivering in a business located in downtown. My first time delivering there it took me 3hrs. Because there was construction and the destination took you to the front of the business, remember this is in down town location so if you don’t know where to go it will get hard and take longer to find the drop off. Turn out the drop off is in a parking ramp area I had to drive two blocks down and one way streets didn’t help as again construction and traffic played a role. After arriving I took an additional 1 hour because they needed the company’s shipment receiver to come and verify as the parking ramp was just a drop off, third party. Another thing is the dispatch didn’t know where the drop off was. So I had to park my car. Take elevators to the company’s storefront inside the building, ask where to drop off and then they said I had to go through the parking first and someone will come down. Now, I don’t know why at that time the shipment receiver didn’t come with me and show me because he ended up being the same person I talked to at that time and when I met him in the parking ramp drop off.

Yes, it’s a difficult business but definitely worth it if you commit yourself to learning and if you like it. I’m in my 5th year. Hit $100k/year 2 years in a row before moving up to a trailer. Will do over $100k this year even in a bad economy. I had and still have a strong drive to succeed and enjoy being my own boss and learning all aspects of the business. You have to love it or you won’t last. It’s hard work!

I did about 5 hours worth of driving and they paid about 80 bucks. Also, they don't pay round trip. I did a route that left me 2 hours away from my house. I deliver for other med companies, and I usually get paid $1 per mile round trip.

Alot of people start then quit cause it's hard. Doesn't mean it's not a good business to start. Most people don't want the carts for $2,000 they want a trailer that's why carts are for sale cause the weather and it's just a better business inside than outside for different reasons. I been doing it outside for 14 years now and I make a out $60,000 a year but I sell cheese steaks burgers and different items so I also don't like asking for locations so i do mostly events and forgot about that one perfect spot. Chasing locations makes it feel like work but that's just me. Everyone is different and nobody on RUclips is saying it's easy they are saying that if you work hard and smart anyone can do it and they aren't wrong.

There are certain items that will get you a good margin (especially if you do not care about quality), but for the most part you can expect 15-30% overall margin of profit on average. There's also a ton of work required and no breaks for business owners. This is the reason why most coffee businesses fail- the payoff doesn't feel worth it for the amount of work.

Anything involving moving a product from pount A to B is an expense and to most companies its a necessary evil and viewed as such. With that in mind you can see how this keeps the profits on the low side. Nobody wants to pay mich for regular work. So I think in order to make money at it, you need to keep your costs lowvas possible to start up and be cheap to maintain. Then as you work in your area start reading the climate of that area and be open to changing what you do quickly. You may find a real good paying steady amount of work by doing something a little different or maybe specialty in some way. Regular work gets regular pay. No sense working for $20 per hour while holding all the responsibility of owning and operating a business when some stores pay nesrly that to be a cashier.
