Shape Up!
There’s a prophet shouting in the wilderness, telling the people that they need to shape up. I wonder… is he talking to us?

Jesus says some really tough stuff sometimes... but often our translation choices don't help us get it right. So when Jesus starts talking about hell we should pay attention...

When Jesus sends out his disciples in pairs it's partly so they understand what they can do, but also so the community sees that this kingdom of God stuff is about way more than Jesus...

7.05 Saturday. Thank you. Just what was needed.
No...
Thank you.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Thank you Stewart for your gift of opening up the scriptures.
The gospel is simple. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh and died on the cross for the sins of each person. He was buried and resurrected three days later Eternal life is a free gift… received, not earned. So my question to you is: are you saved and washed in the precious blood of Jesus Christ? If not, how can a lost soul be saved? To be saved you must admit that you are a sinner who needs the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ! You must move from unbelief to belief in the Gospel..this is biblical repentance. You must believe that Jesus died for your sins as Christ died Shedding his precious blood according to the Scriptures! You must believe that Jesus was buried You must believe that He rose again on the third day We are sinners.. we inherit sin. death and the curse of separation from God the salary of sin is death We are all sinners and dead spirits subject to a state of imperfection Our sins must be paid for We have no way to pay them We need a savior...a propitiatory sacrifice We all need the purification granted through the vicarious sacrifice and atonement of Jesus Jesus is our penal substitute..through Adam we were all condemned to death..death means separation from God Only perfect blood can pay for our sins and cancel the Impossible debt inherited from Adam Jesus Christ paid the death penalty for our sins and sinful condition The moment we believe in Jesus Christ and trust in his divine blood for our justification we are saved.. rescued from eternity without God.. Jesus took on our guilt on the cross and atoned for our past present and future sins.. sealed and baptized by the Holy Spirit the 3rd person of the trinity..we are adopted as children of God and declared Righteous..in the baptism of the spirit.we die. we are buried and resurrected with Christ we inherited sin..adam was sentenced to death..and we inherited the death sentence..I am saved..because Jesus redeemed me. my unpayable debt was cancelled..I was declared righteous..Jesus replaced me .he was tried and sentenced to death in my place.. Not by dead works am I saved. But by the vicarious sacrifice and perfect blood of Jesus Christ shed for all mankind We all have to pay for our sins.. Jesus Christ paid them in my place
Thank you.
I’m going to rewatch this and actually count the Depeche Mode references! 🤣🤣🤣
