Absolutely! Whenever I do boats I give a price range to see if I’m in their budget before I come out. Then final price is after test spot. So many factors go into boats that you really need to see them in person every time.

for those that aren't aware he's doing this to reduce drag....detailer going above and beyond
@derrickld23 thank you for the kind words 🙏🙏🙏 Yes, painted rivet heads will reduce drag. But this wasn't actually my primary goal. I'm more concerned about preventative maintenance for my customers so if I see exposed rivet heads I offer to touch them up to prevent corrosion issues in the future. Also for this aircraft we are working on getting a paint correction and coating done as well so I want to make sure the rivet heads have plenty of time to cure before I start polishing. Then once the ceramics are applied then yes I will GREATLY reduce drag then. 🤜🤛

What kind of heavy marine compound are you using
After sanding I like to come back with super 600 from ardex or menzerna 400
What kinda of pads are you using there
These are rupes course wool pads

What product are you guys using
For compound on the DA I run menzerna 400 then polish we switch over to gyeon primer. I've found this combo to be great because it gives a completely swirl free finish just like a paint correction on cars. And can be used interchangeably between cars and boats.
