Japan's MOST UNDERRATED travel destination? Exploring Nagoya
Nagoya may not be the most popular destination in Japan, as it is overshadowed by Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, so people usually just skip Nagoya and go straight from Tokyo to Kyoto. But if you decide to visit this place and walk around, you will discover beautiful sights: authentic city, vibrant nightlife, beautiful castle, ancient shrine, and wonderful temples. It also has a lot of things happening: we just walked around and encountered two random idol performances. I enjoyed Nagoya much more than Kyoto thanks to its good vibes. Also not to miss is Tokugawa-En, which is the most relaxing garden I've ever been to.

On the way back from Hakone, we had a two hours stop in Odawara, Japan, before we had to catch a shinkansen to Nagoya. Odawara is definitely underrated: it has a beautiful medieval castle as well as shrines. It's definitely worth a stop when going to or back from Hakone! Hakone is a wonderful place for hiking. We climbed Mount Kintoki to be able to enjoy the view of Mount Fuji. After that, we took a bus to Togendai, where we changed to a cable car to Owakudani. This area is still active volcanically, so you can see otherworldly landscape with smokes coming out of sulfur vents. 00:00 Intro 00:16 Breakfast 00:55 Cats 01:20 Going to the Path 01:59 Kintoki Shrine 0...

Is this really Croatia? That was my first impressions when I travelled to this island, which can easily be reached from Zadar for a day trip. Brilliant video! I really like the look of Nagoya 👌🏼 Would love to visit there! Tiger’s Tail River looks so peaceful to walk through 🤩
Thank you :-) the garden was really relaxing indeed!
Thanks for the nice video, we're close to Nagoya and we didn't know😅 about the garden you showed us.
You're very welcome! 😊 You should definitely check out the garden when you have time 😄
there's a free observatory with free foot bath by the mall next to odawara station.
The opulent Baroque interior of Bayreith`s Margravial Opera House is a wonder to behold. It must be a distraction to those watching performances to see such glorious exuberance all around. It is in stark contrast to the Opera House that Wagner had built for his own works. Luxury and comfort were not so high on his agenda as he wanted those watching to stay alert so the seating was pretty solid. and The Palace too is simply amazing. The Palm Room looks amazing. There are so many lovely old cities in this part of the world to explore. You have created another exciting presentation.
Indeed it was truly a wonder, too bad the historically-recreated stage was not shown at that time due to a festival ongoing. Thank you for watching :)
I really enjoyed this, keep it up!! ✨️🫶
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it ☺

The Old Town Hall is amazing and a must to visit and photograph whenever we have visited Bamberg. We have been several times including at Christmas. THe wall paintings on the Old town Hall are amazing. The Cathedral and the Bamberger Reiter is a wonderful building as is the Bishops Palace across the way. Glad you found the Rose Garden. As you remarked, Bamberg is best explored on foot. There are some wonderful places nearby, we were in Nurnberg last week!
Yes, the Franconia area is full of beautiful cities :) I've never been to Nürnberg myself, but it's on my bucket list!

I love Kamakura and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. But I would never say Kamakura itself is underrated, there are already quite a lot of tourists and it is well developed for tourism. (On the contrary, I know quite a few people who went only to see the Great Buddha and then walk Komachi-dori and said Kamakura is overrated for them.) It depends on what you do. I like to go to the beach, jump in the ocean for a bit and then hike the mountainous woods to some temples and then go to Zeniarai Shrine. Also Enoshima is always great for couples. So my takeaway would be: Kamakura has many underrated spots.
When I was there, I noticed that most people were concentrated in Komachi-dori, the Great Buddha, and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. The moment we went outside these places, it was almost empty. There were barely any visitors in Kencho-ji or Sasuke Inari Shrine, even though these places were really stunning. So yes, I agree with your takeaway, and I would love to revisit Kamakura to see other places I missed (like Engaku-ji and Zeniarai Shrine), and Enoshima Island is on my bucket list :)
You're so wrong on the statement that "train tracks are were the slums are in most asian cities," like have you only been to the Philippines?
@@marquesgorham4226 I'm originally from Indonesia where this is common. I've seen the same phenomenon in Thailand, Vietnam and India. Usually there are slums by the train tracks because the land is owned by the government, providing an opportunity to settle in an open land :) the government usually just doesn't bother to evict because it's costly and unpopular.
@yortravels but that's still not every city in asia, man. Asia is a big continent, in fact the biggest china, iran turkey kaskastan and many, many more are a part of it . Besides the countries you mentioned, like Veitnam, Thailand and even India, don't have that problem with every city it's insane to say that. I've seen rail roads in India that look completely fine

@@marquesgorham4226 well let's say when there are slums in Asia, they are usually by the train tracks (or the riverside). That's what I was trying to say. I appreciate the comment in any case :)

The strongest Bura gusts were recorded at 280 km/h, on Pag, I'm pretty sure. There are other parts on other islands and mainland in the vicinity that are equally barren but these tend to look like moonscape because they're predominantly flat like the moon, but Pag wastelands are distinctively hill/valley affair so it's indeed more like Mars than Moon, I'd say.
