For me the funniest (non Pokémon related) moment of the whole tournament was when someone came out saying “WE NEED EXPERIENCED REFS FOR THIS ONE” and went to where Dysco and Oddum were sitting and took Dysco and said “WHERE ARE ALL THE EXPERIENCED REFS?!” I was just rolling on the floor laughing because they’ve been playing sm5 exactly the same amount of time. They probably didn’t know but I was dying 😭👏👏👏👏👏

Everyone's arguement about pods stems from the same idea, get everyone better games. I think we can all agree on that. I'd make the arguement that getting everyone better games is never going to happen at 4:00am. People are just too tired. Pods will never give you ideal seading into finals either. Anything other than full round robins just isn't fair. Just cut the games played. Do 1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8 and send everyone home to go to bed so they are more rested for finals and can get better games. You don't even need to count those smaller pods games towards finals seeding or stats.

So the only wrench in Snufflez's "Beanz will be in Finals" bet is the provision in the Floor Rules: "For a player to be eligible to compete in any finals game, they must have played in at least 50% of the preliminary games."
