IMPORTANT// This is not supposed to be a tutorial, it's a timelapse of my messy workflow and hopefully you can learn a thing or two while watching it.

heyy welcome to this new timelapse. today I present to you the 10 hours modeling workflow I've been working on this last week. It was a really teachful project, and since I'm still a beginner at hard surface modeling, I've learnt, failed and tried many things. Enjoy the timelapse ! 00:00 Legs 13:50 Foots 16:10 Body 27:43 Arms 32:37 Hands 33:52 Foot fixing 34:25 Head my instagram : instagram.com...
mecha helmet : blender timelapse

blender timelapse of my workflow, modelizing a mecha helmet. real time of work : 6h30 BE CAREFUL : I am not a profesional, I might not be using the right/optimized tools or techniques while modelizing this helmet. I did this project to train myself to do hard surface modeling. You can give me tips in the comments but don't be condescending. helmet concept by Abrar Khan : www.artstation.com/artw...
Hi leo glad to see youre having fun :)
SO FIREEE

merci mon zerry
Nice vibes!
Thank you (:
I work night shift fixing cars at Lotus Cars. When the factory is nearly empty it feels like I'm working in a liminal space filled with half built expensive sports cars. THIS is the perfect spacey, chill music for me to work to :P Needs to be longer
Thats so great to read, I cant imagine the vibe Thank you for listening ❤
✨✨
❤❤❤
So sick
Very nice, just the kind of workflow I was looking for. Congrats. Did you find any addons indispensable, or would you be able to to do it in vanilla Blender?
T'es trop fort gros bg va, c'est vraiment beau
tchoupe pas trop stp
j'avoue@@z7rry
Ik thr lytics not The title
its funny i know all the songs and lyrics but i just forget titles 🙁
Mate can you make more guess the song videos for the boys cheers
Я не отгадал только Low key и Failure by design
Did you make the Base character model yourself?
9/10
Oui fion
saillez toi toujours le fion
Love it !!
Wow!!!II am full of waste. You did wery good hemet dude!
I've been modelling lately and this video is so good man. I want to create my own characters, did you make the body or downloaded it?
I'm not sure what they did, but there is a software called "MakeHuman" it's free and allows you to create human models, then from there you can export the file as a FBX, and import it into Blender, and do whatever you want. its always my go to.
@@dage6131 damn that sounds cool, thanks bro
Are you using anything to make the part stick to the model? Simply 2xg function or am I missing something? Doing things that wrap around bodies is a nightmare atm lmao. Cheers
Shrinkwrap?
@@BungieStudios i am unsure what this is, i will give it a google
Me and my friends have a playlist with the majority of the boys music (like 200+ songs) I’m just bad with names
this wa not hard brej
Shouldn't you do It without subdiv on if you want to animate it? I am kinda new but wouldn't animation be annoying If you animate with the low poly version becouse in sring?
Shring*
@@KonstantinosVasilakos you can always turn the subdivision viewport mode at 0 for animation, but for the purpose of this timelapse I didn't changed the values
too fast
that's a timelapse, not a tutorial mate
Great video, superb armour and excellent technique! I see that you are modelling with the subdivision modifier turned on, however when I model with this modifier visible it causes lots of lag, do you have this lag as well or have you found a way to reduce it?
you can set the subdivision viewport view to 0 once you've finished the part you're working on. and maximum 2 when you are modeling it. check out how to use the "simplify" option on youtube, it can helps you with performance issues
Hey, a quick question! Did you make that in blender, or what other program did you use? Looks really sick tbhh
How can you even try to rig all bif this without clipping?
it was a painful process but Ive managed to get it right, with the help of proportional editing
I knew the lyrics, the album but not the title for them
I watch these videos and just grow more disappointed with myself. I figured all these guys were really just sculpting the pieces from the sphere and putting it together. I now see I wasted 4 hours of my life.
dude. I was exactly like you before starting this project, but at some point you just have to push yourself and start this project, just go for it man
@@leolavender444 i started that day it's just I literally sculpted the sphere into a very rough looking chest armor. Then I looked up some videos like yours and so that you guys are building them with planes not sculpting from the spheres.
@@augury2699 Been 5 days! Hopefully you didnt give up. Did their method end up working for you?
@@RealityRogue Unfortunately while I didnr give up and was trying multiple method. My entire home came down with covid without telling me and i got sick. I've spent the last few days in bed, but i am getting significantly better already. So i havent worked on anything but i was getting some good results.
@@augury2699 I count on your to get back at it as soon as you feel better man
Ah dang I started doing armor and didn't think to use shrink wrap. But you are getting nice controllable results. I'll see if that works for me since I am modeling my plates on top of a cloth sim body suit.
Я знал всё кроме лёгкого уровня)
Where final render?
on ig : @leo_lavender
Just started using Blender and would of never thought of using shrinkwrap to model armour, fantastic!! Thankyou for the inspiration I was having a rough day thinking of what to sculpt! :D
Nice! Did you do it all in one sitting? How long did it take without the timelapse?
took me between 3 to 4 hours per day, during a full week!
Magnifique
@@leolavender444 merci mon pote !
