Star Wars be like: -Republic has all of galaxy -New sith empire emerges -Republic gets reduced to a 2 square kilometer area in the core -Republic is renamed -Sith empire collapses to infighting -5 new factions emerge while the republic is weakened -They all get either obliterated or collapse within years -Repeat

It basically a endless back and forth between autocrats and democrats. Republic -> Empire -> Republic -> Empire... it never ends. I don't get it.

The one problem thats impossible to show with this map if the actual extend of the rakata “infinite” empire for example. As despite them controlling a large part of the galaxy, they only controlled worlds with a force presence, as they weren’t able no navigate to any other worlds. And thus despite spaning throughout the whole galaxy, they only controlled about 500 worlds, as in comparison the galactic republic during the clone wars era controlled about 1.3 million worlds, despite being in a smaller region on the galaxy. The rakata in general are fucking fascinating, but they weren’t as powerful as usually shown
