{ GW 395.2} God’s children are to separate themselves from politics, from any alliance with unbelievers. They are not to link their interests with the interests of the world. “Give proof of your allegiance to Me,” He says, “by standing as My chosen heritage, as a people zealous of good works.” Do not take part in political strife. Separate from the world, and refrain from bringing into the church or school ideas that will lead to contention and disorder. Dissension is the moral poison taken into the system by human beings who are selfish. God wants His servants to have clear perceptions, true and noble dignity, that their influence may demonstrate the power of truth. { GW 395.3}

The Lord would have His people bury political questions. On these themes silence is eloquence. Christ calls upon His followers to come into unity on the pure gospel principles which are plainly revealed in the word of God. We cannot with safety vote for political parties; for we do not know whom we are voting for. We cannot with safety take part in any political scheme. We cannot labor to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty, and to set in operation oppressive measures to lead or compel their fellow-men to keep Sunday as the Sabbath. The first day of the week is not a day to be reverenced. It is a spurious sabbath, and the members of the Lord’s family cannot participate with the men who exalt this day, and violate the law of 392 God by trampling upon His Sabbath. The people of God are not to vote to place such men in office; for when they do this, they are partakers with them of the sins which they commit while in office. { GW 391.2}

Amen..What a deep soul searching presentation

Many of us here at Southern Adventist University are feeling the hand of God pressing upon our lives. It is time to truly surrender, commune, and it is time to drink the cup of Christ.

Why SDA make up many rules for people want to become SDA member?

The bible says The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It appears that most pastors are against what Dr.Vine says, I feel that Dr. VINE did what is right. We all should have compassion for the persons who lost everything. Its amazing that "Leaders" that are christains think they are at liberty to treat persons in that way and think its ok with God. Dr Vine spoke truth and it shows that he has a caring heart for the brothers and sisters who lost their jobs. God knows all things and His judgement is perfect.

We are living in the time of Matt 24 vs 10. Sounds like the ministry of condemnation to me, Pastor Lemon! If a man say, I love God, and hate his brother, he is a liar. I pray that Bro Lemon has reached out to his brother in love and pray with him. This said more about where we are in earth history than it saids about Dr Vine and his statement! Many shall be offended and shall betray one another. Pastor Lemon, I’ve always loved you and have learn so much from your teachings, and will continue to gleam from the lessons you continue to teach. Will continue to pray for our church and our brothers and sisters in Christ.

We listen sermon to learn more the Bible and understand God words so later on we read Bible we don't confuse or misunderstand God words. Thank you for your remind us read more God words.

If I’m not called to forgive myself, then I’m not called to forgive others. I’m a person just like someone else is a person. Extending compassion to a human is extending compassion to a human - even if that person is me. Most people know they are transgressing, sinning against, others. They don’t care. They don’t really understand the consequences they will face. Interesting video.

This is my 3rd meeting with you. The second one was forgiveness, and I called the person that has hurt me the most and never thought I would ever forgive. I called her around 3 am to tell her I had forgiven her. She replied appreciating me for forgiving her. She was so happy and I also felt great relief. She wanted to start explaining, but I told her that I wasn't here for any stories. Thanks pastor for your ministry

I’ll never forget the conversation my in laws tried to have with all the children and wives asking us to be on fire for their ministry (not Adventistsm. Trying to convert me to Pentecostal) I attended out of respect. They were pastors. One of my brother in laws said he had fond memories of his parents forcing 4 kids to sleep in a cramped back seat all night, miss school the next morning, forcing them to stay in strangers home for hours at a time so the parents can minister to members. How the children starved while the parents fed everyone else. How the children didn’t know 3 books of the Bible. How he was so proud of his parents for doing that for the members. He would OF COURSE step up more despite also having children of his own and dedicating 4 days a week to the church already. If that sounds abnormal-it is, unfortunately he suffers from crippling people pleasing. His parents beamed with pride as he spoke. Meanwhile, I was disturbed. I could not bite my tongue and spoke up saying my three children and my husband are the first and most important members of my church and I should be ministering to them first. Not sacrificing their well being for everyone else. And if after my husband was done with his husband and fatherly duties, he would then try to be of service. Safe it say they didn’t care for me. But this sermon reminds me that I felt in that moment and how now I still feel it was the right call.

Elder. Im perplexed. I agree with many things you say NOW regarding the balance we need. But God needs to do better in revealing truth and standards of balance etc. As i can be passionate and sure 1 year. Then 5 years later believe completly different. While still using the bible and SOP. Most times now i dunno what to believe. Are my experiences just the deciding choice? Especially when plain word from EGW seems to not work or we say the contexxxxt was different. Its long. We truely need the Holy Spirit
