How many of each pants did you take? Is 1 waterproof pant enough or did you need to pack multiple?
Base layer (my own leggings) + Fleece pants (my own from 32 Degrees) + Waterproof upper layer pants (provided by the tour operator).
"Coolest place to send a postcard": most correct description. That means "borring as hell". So "not worth" as the main goal. But.. could be an option in your plan if you are exploring north nature at winter, polar night's "press", have a time to vizit Oulu (Science, History, Art museums, karaoke bars) and Kemi (SnowCastle, Finnish Crown), have a train, do plain skiing...

Lovely! When was your visit? Their website says they are currently "temporarily closed". Is that not true?
We were there at the end of April 2024. I do not see a reason why they would be closed. When you get to the cruise terminal, the taxi driver will confirm it before driving you there.
