I used to play about four years ago on a completely different account that is long gone at this point, so I started this account in April 2024 for a sponsored live stream and have pretty much been at it since. However, with head hung in shame, I've thrown waaaay too much $$ at it to get where I am within that time-frame. :)

Thank you, I appreciate it! I haven't tried it myself, but since the game is running off of the data that is in the registry, which is a single central location, I don't know if it's possible. I vaguely remember when I was playing years ago using an emulator, it was possible since you could run multiple instances of the emulator on the PC at the same time.

I'm thinking of changing the room up a bit here as I'm wanting to get back into streaming again this year, but here's what I have: The back wall is black (I didn't plan that well, I know) and there are four lamps against the wall with Smart Bulbs that interface with my OBS/Monitor/Too many other things. In my recorded videos, the lights match the colors of my monitor based on what's on screen, but when live, they are controllable by sub commands and react to alerts/stream events. Everything I've seen when looking it up doesn't seem to be very easily done, other than creating a new alliance (with new admiral) and moving everyone over. I'm also finding some posts on Reddit where customer support MIGHT assist in certain circumstances, but it seems rare that they will intervene. I haven't been in that situation myself but I am a Commodore in my current alliance and I have the ability to kick others, but I do not know if that allows the kicking of an Admiral. Sorry! I wish I could help more on your predicament. Hopefully support can assist if the account has been inactive long enough as you had mentioned. Good luck!

@rizz917 - Unfortunately, the Cube is tier locked to your faction ship(s); I can't quite remember which one is the tier 3, but for example, my Cube is locked and I can't get the next data node until I tier up my Tribune to T8. You can find out by docking your Cube and going to "Upgrade", then tap on the "Borg Data Node" in your components. That should pop up a screen saying something along the lines of (in my case) "Claim the Borg Data Node Tier 9 ... after upgrading the Tribune, Ent-A, or Hegh-ta to Tier 8..." So, I can't tier up my Cube until I meet the Tribune Tier 8 requirement, so you're hitting up against that same limit for now. It's a pain, but I hope this helps!

@ I am at a much lower level than you, I think. When I try to upgrade my cube, it says I cannot gain access to the Borg data node until I upgrade my operations to level 36. I just did that, but I am unable to find where this data node is to access it, or acquired. Very frustrating, in general, it feels like there are so many things that I'm missing with the game which could make it more enjoyable.

Hmm... Let me do some digging around and see if I can get some more info for you then. I do know that the Cube is the toughest one to upgrade, but it also has the potential to be the strongest ship in the game, which I think is why they make is so damned rough to move up.

@rizz917 - Here are a couple of resources that I use heavily with the game that may help you as well. I know I've been lazy on creating new vids on some stuff, but I'm hoping to get back to that soon. Check your "Gifts" tab as well as the "Borg Tech" in your Refineries to see if the OPS 36 unlock gift is in there. If I recall, I received the Data Nodes in either one of those when the requirements are met for each tier upgrade of the cube and I think hitting OPS 36 "should" open that up for you.. then that's when the ship tier locks start kicking in. It's a refit ($$$) that adds the additional beam, otherwise, yes.. it's a single shot per charge without that refit. I no longer see it in my store, but if you can find it, the refit is called "Binary Cutter". I hope this helps and thank you for checking in!!

@ Progression is all server side, don’t have to do anything else once you export. Just save those “.reg” files so you don’t lose them in case something goes wonky with the pc.

Picked it up not too long ago.. I love it! Also picked up the Tribune and some G5's - Northcutt and Corvus. Parts are killing me!!

Yep... you do get some XP boosts as well as faction rep boosts!

Monaveen has been a pretty good overall ship if you don't have (or don't want) the specialty ships. About the only thing it isn't very useful for is Omega Mirror space grinds. I no longer use mine that often as I've moved up to G5, but I still AFK my Monav as much as possible just to max it out and complete the research that it offers.

If you do an initial export of the settings before attempting the switch over, you’ll have a good backup that you can just double click and re-import to bring you back to safety. If that doesn’t work (I can’t think of any reason that it wouldn’t…) just ensure that you have your email address and password for your account, then you can re-install the game and that will pull your account back once logged in.

Hiya! Daily hostile kill limit (where you get any loot/xp/faction rep) is 2,000, then you're cutoff aside from mining or event points. Also depends on what factions you are aligned with, and if you are considered an enemy of any of them, you can park your ship in their space and they will also send ships after you if you want to AFK it. So say you're aligned with Rom/Fed.. and you are an enemy of Kil.. send your ship to Klingon space and you're good to go there as well, plus you get that faction rep for Rom/Fed. Eclipse is definitely good, I still do my kills there with a ship I may need to lvl up but I save those for the Thursday Apex events, two birds w/one stone thing. End of the day, the higher lvl hostile you can handle with survivability, the more XP you'll get! Thanks for commenting, I appreciate you!

That works! I usually have Pike (with the PMT crew) grinding away in Monaveen space 99% of the time, so T'Lann is almost always available for me unless I have multiple ships to level up. In all cases, I either Captain with Pike or T'Lann since Leslie, Hendroff, Goon, Hadley, or Darwin don't have any useful XP boosting traits at the captain level, so I'd rather make sure Pike or T'Lann are in the chair, and any others are on bridge to maximize the payoffs. Nice! It does take a bit of trial and error to find similar systems/scenarios when you start tiering up the cube. Mine hit T6 and I'm loading up the beam @ Siieqa, and hitting @ Stradania for now. The joys of growing pains. :)

All great tips!! I have Pike/Goon (T'Lann) maxed out, and I also have the rest of the "Shakedown" crew that all have XP boosts as well, and then definitely maxed out the research and Kirk stuff. Also a few favors from Ex-Borg have some boosts in their faction store under "Combat Strategm". Good stuff and thanks again for commenting!

Prime Enhanced Analysis is not a F2P research as it requires Multiphasic Credits which you get by purchasing things through Scopely direct.

Shame the Prime research is Ops level locked. I'm lvl39 on an Ascension locked server so that won't be an option for a few months minimum.

Prime enhanced analysis isn't f2p. You need 6700 multiphasic credits. At 5 per week from the recruit tab, that's 25+ years to get. Multiphasic credits, in a realistic amount, are a paid item, only available through the Scopely website, not the Google or Apple stores. You'll spend about $50 to get enough.

Lol! It’s not the worst complaint I’ve heard about the game.

I haven’t played STO in years, I keep thinking of starting up again. I know Timelines just had (or is still running) some events for LD crew with Quark 2000. I’d be surprised if STO did a crossover since that seems a bit more “serious” with Trek overall.

Unfortunately, you're 100% correct in that there are many players that take a nefarious approach to these types of games and I've seen many players come and go because of it and I fully understand the frustration that can bring. I'm definitely not into PVP at all and will only do so in specific events so I spend a lot of time checking my shields and I've hit lvl 47 to where I can live in deep space and "most" of the time, you get the more relaxed players out there that aren't looking to kill anybody else's good time. As long as you have gained access to Augment space via Khan’s missions, this should work in any system in that space. Depending on your crew/ship strength, you may not last too long at first, but stick with the upper systems first until you grow a bit and can handle the larger ones. First off, great username! Apparently the mission is based on picking the correct options, I guess I got lucky, which I never do that in these scenarios. You should be able to go back to "Gifts" and get another mission key to try again. Definitely have to make specific decisions in order to complete the mission 100%.

The mission bosses aren’t so much the issue, but what you’ll run into first is the ability to get to deep space. That does open up at 40 (it’s a big change, plus you’ll need asension tokens, which is a new mission when you hit 39 that you’ll need to go to 40). You’ll also want to make sure you have your 3* Epic ship maxed out, or close to it and a ton of 3* mats stockpiled. You enter the 4* economy at lvl 40 and most of your faction dailies will shift accordingly. I don’t think much is going to be gone soon for the GQ stuff aside from the current events so I wouldn’t rush too hard. Scopely loves to use FOMO to coax the credit card swipes but, that is of course, your call.

200k wouldn't be an issue to spend lat on but as u go higher in game u literally need like 5+ mil for a single level. Yrs for buildings, yrs for a single research. It gets pretty expensive that was especially if ur not spending on packs on a regular basis

Unfortunately, it does not. Since I posted the video, I managed to get the USS Kelvin, which obtaining AND tiring that up to T6 is the requirement before I can tier up my cube to T6 now. It's painful. :(

Gotcha! Camping for a bit is a popular tactic, I did it at 39 for a bit (not long given I spend to support the content), but definitely recommended for many. You're right, you can't have too many good miners and especially if you're into base raiding and such, which I still don't think I've even tried cracking a base yet. :)

Hi there! I make my videos with my main account, which is not F2P. I did play this originally about four years ago, but ended up losing that account so this one is basically a "redo" that I've been playing with for a couple of months. I do have a secondary F2P account that I need to give some attention to and was thinking of adding some of that content here for a "beginner's" type of series of vids. Right? I was ok with purchasing a few battle passes here and there, then I made the decision to start creating content as much as I enjoy doing so and helping others if I can. That is what essentially pushed me to whale it up more.. and more... and much more than I probably should have. :)

The problem is when someone doesn't have a job and has too much time on their hands to play this game and suddenly get addicted ... and then it's not far to debt-hell. My tier 3 cube gets 200% from a lvl 30 swarm in Von system, then i use them both in Xerxes system and repeat. 1 hit with the beam can kill some lvl 33 hostiles. My cube does 50.000 hull damage with 1 shot, but it would take too long to jump that far away everytime. At tier 2 i could fully charge it in Ortek system with a lvl 28 swarm, but the beam also did less damage. I can also fully charge at tier 3 from a single lvl 27 Exchange Transport hostile in Valance system for example.

@stoicacostel1683 - Are you asking how to get the dual beam perk? It's a ship retrofit for the Borg Cube called "Binary Cutter". It's essentially a ship skin that you can buy from the web store. Although, I just checked my instance of the game and I can't seem to see it, but I assume that's because I've already purchased it. I hope this helps!

It definitely is starting out.. it does get a bit easier once you start moving up. Keep an eye on your "Combat" research tree for opportunities for the better ships as they come in, and research overall is extremely important, I'd say even more so than the ships themselves. Don't fall into the trap of "better ship = better experiences" - research and officers are truly key in this game at those will increase a LOT of needed stats. It's really not. Especially now. You need to do the missions. Explore, open up the galaxy, do missions. Steal opc. Find the pve meta crew. Patient planning.

also be carefull if you want to buy ships with real money. some are very hard to upgrade even if you paid real money. the cube he's using is very hard to upgrade. will require you to get to level 33 just to upgrade it to tier 2, and it requires special parts that you can only get when refining materials that you get when you destroy a hostile using only the cube's special beam attack. that beam charges when you destroy hostiles by fighting them normally. can take 5-10 hostile to charge the beam for 1 use/attack and might take 10-15 ships destroyed just with that beam to get max amount of tokens to refine that day. it will take many weeks of daily play and refining maximum amount possible to get a smal number of those parts each day.

Funny that you say that! I'm working on an upcoming video specifically for the cube that you may like if your ship and level are high enough to bring that grind WAY down! Yes, the cube is an absolute beast to upgrade and so far is the most difficult one I've seen. However, the (long waiting) payoff is that the cube still has to potential to be the strongest and most fearsome ship in your fleet assuming you can keep at it and grow thee behemoth.
