Everyone talks about the TBA's distorted tone, but the clean tone is very... "Chunky" if I can say so, I don't know how to explain it but it's a great tone
Cheers, mate! Just a nerd with a wah-wah and amp who is determined to play this but needs to be able to hear it clearly and slowed down to 0.25 speed! Awesone stuff!
He has a signature set that's 11-50 but I don't know what tuning he uses those for. I would think his signature set would be for standard tuning since that's the most common tuning for them, but that's a bit heavy for standard tuning imo. I use 11-52 for D.
That’s great I didn’t realize scott played power chords in the verses to the ACS track. I certainly heard it on the demos tho. Also interesting is the acoustic guitar during the bridge and all the controlled feedback on his lead playing. Scott was a dope guitarist. Def a spooky kids demos feel of course with Trent Reznors polish. One of the best albums of many greats that came from the 90s
They can't be as the mastering in music production is only done from the final 2 channel (stereo) mix of the finished song. As the different guitar stems are all present here, this audio must therefore come from the final mix PRE mastering, but the guitar buss is isolated and the vocals/bass/drums are muted from the mix. They've probably been heavily tweaked since being extracted from the final mix.
Correction. 100% fact checked. Metallica used Mark IIC++ DG heads. Not Coliseums. They also slaved them into a Strategy 400 Power Amps to make them sound huge.
Is it just the solo of Enter Sandman that has the wah pedal in?
4:27-4:31 ☠️ so fucking cool how it goes from 2 guitar tracks to BOOM!!! A fucking massive bomb of guitars!
The man he's the best

I hear a microphonic pickup on one of the tracks.
Yup, and I think the sound of the pick comes through even with how loud the amps are!
Just many tracks layered.

Cool, isnt it
Anyone know what gauge did Hetfield use in E on this album? I know he used 11-48 in D but don't know the rest of them
Most likely a straight 10 46 if they used 11 through 48 for d standard.
11-48 in standard, i heard

He was known for using Ernie Ball Power Slinkys back in the day. So that means 11-48. Nowadays he uses his signature set which uses 11-50

This are the post mastered tracks right?
They are very compressed so I'd assume yes
@@LukeCannotSkate many of them come from Guitar Hero, so that wouldn’t surprise me either.

@@5150forevermore yep it was a IIC++ - search Hetfield's interview with Guitar World in 1991, he confirms that
No. 'tallica used a mark 2c+. Then they moved to the rectifier for load.
As far as I know it was a Mark 2C+ blended with a classic Marshall from the 70s
