Trying to find a good machine that wont waste my time . Have you trid this on black tattoo ink
Does it work good for tattoo removal
So actually what would be the best amount of white in each cap ? Maybe start off with 4 to 5 drops ? because you mentioned you could use upto 8 drops in each one.
@@Scoobieish I would start with about 5 drops. I’m constantly changing my white ratio. Sometimes I go light, and sometimes I go heavy on the white.
seriously considering this machine. would have loved a session timer on this thing. would have made it a perfect.
Do you recommend the 3.5
@@Inkiettoo777 Yes, very well rounded and solid machine.
@@RyanMethricArt thanks bro I got the 3.5
@@Inkiettoo777 Awesome! I hope you enjoy it.
@@RyanMethricArt I did
Where is the other video? I am having trouble finding it?
Would you recomend the 3.5 over the 4.2 for overall use?
@@mephistosteiner8064 Yes
may I ask if this is different from what is called opaque? and did you say it was soap and water? Thank you in advance!
So I'm just curious after watching a handful of these videos... Why dilute with water at all? Why not just drops of black and gray? I've seen some with the results from healed and with white added it looks way better imo, all black and water dilute just looks like faded black. Could you try one with zero water to dilute, add the white, and show a comparison of both after they've healed? I think that might make a noticable difference
@@levig8236 They are two different techniques. Using water to dilute is how transparent grey washes are made. Using only black with different ratios of white make opaque grey tones, this is a monochromatic color tattoo. I often do both.
Every body watching READ this including video creator!!! Great tips I do my BnG basically the same BUT don't put your carts in water caps. When doing so the only part of the cart you can grab is the locking part that goes inside the grip of your machine leading to a extremely higher risk of cross contamination. Clients safety > artist ease of work
That's useless for beginners
This comment is..
Just bought this based off this and another review. For any other Aussie's, it was $887AUD for me to get the 4.2 set not including shipping. Even with the conversion rate and shipping, it's still way more affordable than picking up a Cheyenne or Inkjecta locally. I really wasn't interested in something off a random dropshipping site but also didn't want to get an overcapable machine where I wasn't skilled enough to take advantage of properly either way. I don't know any Australian dealers who offer Prime products so I'm hoping the grips and cartridges won't be too much of an issue to source. I got some ENSO's to try that are apparently really nice with it. Thanks for your review and I'll be back to report how it runs. 🥲
🎉🎉
You put soap in your ink??
I don't worry about it. When I fill up my wash bottle it's 99% water with a few drops of Dial Gold soap. I don't feel like it makes any difference in the washes. Or maybe it does and it's my signature lol
Very professional review!
Thank you!
Do you know if the critical foot connects to the prime battery?
How many drops for the white? pls pls
I personally do around 6-8. Feel free to experiment though, there are no rules to this. You can even try drops of color.
Is this using the prime x critical machine?
I believe I used my Cheyenne Sol Nova Unlimited 4.0

Thanks for the feedback man! 🙌🏻
How do this compare to bishop wand packer?
They are very similar machines, I don’t think you could go wrong with either. I believe the Bishop has more stroke length options? I’m also not sure of the motor in the Bishop. I personally think it would come down to which one feels better in the hand, front ergonomics to weight.
Can you compare this one to the bishop wand packer ?? Does it come close or it is to soft hit?
The hit is softer, the swash drive plate in this simulates “give” in my opinion.
Why the soap & water ? Why not just hazel or str8 water ?
Hazel and/or glycerine always makes the skin red when I use it. I mainly use distilled water in my bottle, there’s literally a couple drops of Dial Gold soap mixed in. There’s not enough soap to affect the wash, and if it does well.. it works for me. 🙌🏻
How would you compare it to the actual 4.2 Critical Torque? I was using FK Irons Spektra Flux 4.2 for everything, but changed to AI Tenitas for colorwork as I feel the Spektra Flux was very hard on the skin in long color sessions.
The Critical Torque 4.2 hits way harder and seems specialized for color work. This machine hits a bit softer and is easier to use for blk n grey to me.
Damn I just got the fk irons 2.5 stroke for portraits and realism and another machine just to try (P3 Pro Turbo) I had my eye on the WOS e60 and the Acus M1 lol I’m just searching for that perfect machine for me specifically 🤔 now I may have to get this while business traffic is good
It’s solid for the $$
Using soap into your dilution? Doesn't that burn a little bit for the client. Just asking.
Naww, green soap could if it’s not diluted enough, but I use a very minimal amount of dial soap mixed with my water. Probably around a 1/8 teaspoon of soap for the whole bottle. I like where I just start to see soap suds in the bottle.
Ok bro. You convinced me. Checking out a 4.2 now.
Hahaha it’s solid man, I use it everyday, in my rotation. Basically it makes me feel like other machines are overpriced for no reason.
No way this is value with a fixed stroke... Makes it 0 versatility.... I would go for hylabtattoo defender (13500rpm beast) + ambition battery grip for 200usd all together, if not that then just vladblad avenger 2 pro.
The Cheyenne sol nova unlimited is a fixed stroke at $1,200, how is this not a value? This is a fully wireless tattoo machine, those others are not.
Would it be worth it to get both 3.5 and 4.2?
That’s up to you man, I personally only use the 4.2. If you have the $ to spend it’s always good to have a backup.
@@RyanMethricArtso I want to ask but since I saw someone ask why do you prefer the 4.2 then the 3.5 so I’m thinking of the 3.5 do you think that will work with shading and outline or is that why you prefer the 4.2
@@tony6655 The 3.5 will work great, that’s a very good well rounded stroke length. Personally for me, my hand speed is used to a 4.2 stroke. I like the slower travel distance and the punchier hit feel, but it’s something I switched to in the past couple years. I was using a 3.2-3.5 stroke for 10 years before that. (Basically I have an easier time packing color, lining, and solid black with the 4.2, so I practiced and made myself adjust to it for smooth black and grey so I didn’t need to use multiple machines.)
@@RyanMethricArt thanks I just got mine in today I went with a 3.5 the set…. The only thing is that they all out of tubes so yeah that sucks. I was ready to use this bad boy it came with one disposable tube so I’m going to run that for 1 lucky person till I get them in.
I just bought mine ate the Chicago Tattoo Convention, I have been using for three days and I’m very impressed about the performance and everything. Great affordable and honest machine.
Hell yea! How’d that expo go man?
Be honest and tell everyone it says DESIGNED in the USA but it’s made assembled and shipped from CHINA. It’s an ambition with a critical power supply 🗣️
I honestly don’t care where it’s made, do you? For the price, the machine & motor paired with the Critical battery is great. I’m still doing my tattoos every day.
As a beginner should I get the 3.5 or 4.5 stroke
I would recommend the 3.5 stroke. It’s a good well rounded middle ground that’s capable of any style of work.
I ended up getting the 3.5 stroke machine a week ago and i was absolutely in love with the performance of the machine. I ran the battery (fully charged) for about 4.5 hours and it didn't drain at all. Honestly if anyone is looking for a solid affordable machine that performs great I would say definitely buy this machine
Awesome man! Thanks for the comment. I’m glad it worked out well for you!
Can I ask why you got the 3.5 over the 4 I’m in a delema of which to get, can the 3.5 put down solid lines
Which stroke length would you recommend for someone just starting to tattoo. Which would you say is most versatile for lining and shading?
3.2-3.5 stroke is very well-rounded and capable of doing it all.
oh
Hey bro thanks for doing this review! I have a quick question, right now I have a CNC P6 because I can do shading at 3.0 and lining at 4.0 since I didn’t have money for two machines, if I were upgrade to this machine do you think that’s a good idea? Would I still be able to do everything from very soft shades up to push large liner groupings? Thanks!
I think upgrading would be worth it if you’re currently unhappy with your results, or you’re having quality control issues with your machine. I would recommend getting the 3.5 maybe, it will be a good middle ground stroke length between the 3.0 and 4.0. Honestly though, I can use any stroke length and adjust to it, and still achieve smooth blk n grey, or solid color and line work. I think dedicated stroke lengths make certain jobs easier and quicker. Example: I can bold line with a 2.5, but it’s easier and quicker for me to use a 4.2
Does the critical wireless foot pedal work with that battery
Good question! I’m not sure, I don’t have the wireless foot switch. I’m also wondering if the Critical Torque battery can power this machine, I know it fits. My guess is no for both, but I will test and update.
So I think I can answer your question on that yes those batteries are inner changeable which is awesome so you can use the bishop power wand batteries I believe the critical torque batteries work also!
@@gotink6tattoos561 That’s really awesome honestly, it makes everything super flexible!
why are you inject dial soap into people
Great video don't like the comment on Old School but your right I'm Seventy this year still working 50 hours a week and getting new equipment has new advantages I love have already invested at least 6000 grand in Pens and will be adding this PRIME to my Tool Box but still use my COILS also my confidence level is higher right now with coil liners but learning to use my FK and Critical more on lining again from what I hear the Critical battery works on that prime machine as well hope that's true and that would mean my wireless footswitch would work as well somethings I have a hard time getting use to the change LOL
Thanks for the comment man! Don’t get me wrong I definitely started with coils, and I respect the foundation of tattooing. I’m also not bashing old school tattoo artists who have used coils for 20 years and feel confident, and comfortable with them. I get annoyed by “new” artists that try to be trendy posers, and purposely shit on newer technology, and will only use coils. I’m a huge believer in progressing and evolving, as technology grows and pushes the industry forward, I wanna grow with it.
This has already been done by tons of Chinese companies, that offer you more options such as touch screens brushless motors etc for 150 and under.
By all means, that’s your choice to support them. Feel free man.
I promise you cheap Chinese company’s have not done this before prime is a renowned needle brand who collaborated with two very quality brands and used really high quality components to put together a solid product that Amazon garbage comes with a triple a powered hot wheels motor with an aluminum can body that comes contaminated from the factory, please believe me when I say cheap Amazon machines allow to you about what voltage they actually run at they’re motors are too week to consistently penetrate the skin it will cost you more in the long run when you can’t pack solid color or pull solid lines
Thanks for the video got the 4.2 on order 👍
Dope man! If you ever have questions for me, or wanna talk tattoo stuff feel free to message me on my Insta.
@@RyanMethricArthey man whats your insta? I just wanna ask abit about this machine, cheers
Looks pretty good for the orove man. What motor. Isnit brushless?????
Swashdrive
Thanks for the video man, would you say it’s easier to achieve saturation with a round shader than the torque or packer due to the swashdrive? Also how’s it for black and grey? Cheers Ryan
Very solid for black and grey, I’ve honestly haven’t had any issues yet. The torque packed very well, especially for color, but the machine hits very hard and I had to watch myself from overworking the skin. The prime pen has been packing very smoothly and solid with minimal skin trauma. I’m very happy with it. It hits hard, but does seem like there’s some natural give.
AVERAGE !
How so?
very good video. Would you say you can draw lines with it just as quickly as with the Unlimited4.0. I love Directdrive and didn't think the Swashdrive would come back.
So my primary machine for the last few years has been the Unlimited 4.0, I think the prime Pen pushes lines about the same. It feels very similar to that machine. It was a easy transition for me, where the Critical Torque felt very different. The Prime Pen hits hard, but does seem like there’s some natural give.
Thank you very much, I have now ordered the 4.2 version
@@tricArt7 That’s awesome man! Feel free to message me on Instagram if you ever have questions, or wanna talk about tattooing.
