Why a High ISO Doesn't make you a bad Photographer
Which camera ia best mirrorless or dslr
Mirrorless cameras give you the advantage in many different scenarios. They are generally lighter and smaller their DSLR equivalents - often with smaller and lighter lenses to match, too. They bring a comprehensive, modern feature set, such as superlative AF tracking performance, 4K video recording and IBIS, where DSLRs are now starting to fall behind. That said, there's still something to be said for DSLRs - and there's still some life in the old dog yet. On the whole, because they're older and lack EVFs, they tend to be a cheaper proposition than mirrorless cameras, and you can pick up some great bargains. The trade-off is that you might not get the latest tech, but not every photographer needs it. I hope this helps answer your question 😊
Anything sony :)
Sony is a fantastic brand, and up until recently was the camera I shot all my photos on. I still use Sony camera for all my video work as you cannot beat their autofocus capabilities Do you shoot on Sony?
@@cal_takes_photos I wish I did. I shoot on nikon, but once I get the money, Im moving straight to sony. Glad to hear you also love sony :)
Which cameras are your main contenders? And yeah Sony cameras are work horses
@@cal_takes_photos Currently on a D3400, with my current setup, I can expect to try and earn some cash, and get the A7MK1. Its a full frame, and a sony. Yes its REALLY old, but its still usable in todays photo industry.
@@cal_takes_photos My mind was on the Sony A7Mk1. Yes its old, but its a full frame, its a sony, its a mirrorless, and its still very good.
I feel that the greens are too saturated in both.
That’s a fair point, I think in a summerier climate, both these film recipes would look far better than they do But of course, I won’t know this until we get some better weather Is their any you are using at the moment you think could be better?
@@cal_takes_photos Aye, the British weather is only good for depressing types of images at this time of year, lol. You could simply change the settings in the recipe to suit you.
Haha you definitely have a point there! And yes tbh it isn’t something I’ve experimented with yet However, I think I might do a video going through the process of either creating your own film recipe from scratch or tweaking some of the most popular ones
@@cal_takes_photos I'm 71 and I only got my X100vi last Friday, but already I have downloaded and set up half a dozen recipes from Fuji X Weekly. I would say it's definitely worth your while to try it. There are lots of instruction vids on YT on how to go about it.
I’ll definitely give it a go thank you
overpriced😂
For a lot of people it’s definitely a luxury item
A drop of Blue Loctite solves the shutter button problem. I've used it on my XPro 3 and Nikon Zf.
Definitely didn’t think of that but could work!
Anyone here ever heard of a darkroom?
Definitely have And I have even used one before was a lot of fun!
The other note about the soft shutter button is that if you drop the camera (like I did) not very far. A foot on to a wood counter top, it can damage the shutter easily. Like mine was lol and that's 400 bucks and 2-3 weeks of being without your camera whilst it's being repaired so. Unless you got a worst strap on. Don't get it. Even then I've heard of it getting bumped in a bag and breaking.
Oh ye I never even thought about what would happen if you dropped it That’s a very valid point Thanks for mentioning it!
I went through 3+ batteries a day when I took a trip to Portugal. If you are shooting while Traveling then having extra batteries is essential.
Oh wow that’s quite a lot I took mine to Greece this summer and managed on one battery a day But like most things it totally depends how you shoot with the camera Maybe I should do a video talking about how I shoot with mine?
Astia pop recipe has been given me many compliments. You should try it.
Thank you, I will Always looking for new film recipes to try out Might feature in a video!
Brilliant mate
Thank you!!
Good video though I do like a shutter button haha
Haha I totally hear you, I also do like them but the fact they can come off so easily, made them annoying for me But I totally get why people like them
Amazing
Thank you
Funny enough, I just got most of these accessories a few days ago and just found your video today! Super excited to get it all and start shooting!
That’s great to hear, out of curiosity which accessory did you pick up? I hope you get some super photos with it
@ I bought the neewer black mist, the small rig thumb rest (and grip), and the peak design strap!
Sounds amazing hope you like all those products!
@ thank you! I’m really excited to re-spark my love for creating after doing it for so long for work.
Love to see some of the photos you take
You should get one of those mics that clips on to your shirt so you don't have to hold it with your hand. You'd be able to hold up five fingers then.
Haha the funny thing is the mic is question is actually a Lav mic 🎙️ But I’ll definitely think about it for future content Thanks for the suggestion 😊
@@cal_takes_photos Really?!
Yeah 😅 It’s a wireless microphone I use for client content with a Lav microphone attached Normally I do clip it on or use an external microphone 🎙️ but felt like mixing it up But as always I really appreciate the feedback helps me create better content
Hey, what monitor is this behind you?
Hey thanks for the message it’s a 27" Samsung ViewFinity S80PB

Thank you
Brilliant mate!

Thanks for this bro! Gonna use this when i got my own fuji
Definitely would recommend the camera brand if you like that mechanical feeling camera 📷
@@cal_takes_photos yah i gotta save for it and im so curious on the film simulations
Ye once I got used to shooting with a Fujifilm it’s definitely been a lot of fun
Brilliant mate
Thank you 🙏
This is my first time watching your video and I loved it. I don't purchase luxury bags and I probably never will, or if I do, it will be pre-loved. But I do buy luxrul occasionally of the styles that I really like. I truly appreciate your comparisons here, which have helped me make a decision about a couple for which I was on the fence. I'll be pulling the trigger now. Thanks for this and your humor.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video, and it’s great to hear that the comparisons helped you make a decision. Pre-loved items can be a smart choice, and I totally get being selective with luxury purchases. and feel free to reach out if you ever want more recommendations!
Keep going
Trying too!
nice video bro i have been thinking of getting one of these when/if my go pro packs in
Yes they are definitely a fantastic action camera, However since I made that video action cameras like the insta 360 go etc might also be worth considering
Keep up the good work man just found your page

Bro, where are the photos?

Maybe he or she was tired 😅 but yes I do agree although I do ride quite fast 💨
Where do you guys and girls work?
Nice little video - Im a photographer in Lincolnshire too! Just picked up a new camera and looking forward to getting some footage up
That’s great to hear you never know I might see you out and about in Lincolnshire and nice which camera?
@@cal_takes_photos I picked up an older Panasonic G6 - wanted to get something with 1080/60 without breaking the bank 🙂 .. Yeah for sure! Always up for a photo meet
Sounds great and yes for sure 👍

Woahhh the pictures look so good ❤
Thank you 🙏
Nice edits and pictures this must of took a while❤
Haha longer than I’d like to admit !
Great video
Thank you !!
Wow, the images look amazing
Thank you 🙏!!
dgi ? if the camera set the exposure correctly and did not go crazy with it with every move, the image was not so hardcore contrast (even in d-cinelike, it only changes the saturation) then the dynamic range would also be better. In this case, a person still chooses between a weak option and a weak one (dji vs gopro), both have problems that make one wonder which one to buy or whether to buy any.
I defiantly do agree with you, and I am looking to go more in-depth into the flaws, so if you want to see that video, please do sub means a lot of cheers
mate.hiya!~ like it,this is perfect edition,🖖
Thank you, and they’ll be plenty more to come. I’d appreciate it if you liked and followed for more cheers
Thoughts on the a6600?
I think the A6600, in my opinion, is one of the best cameras on the market today. The form factor, the auto focus, battery life and the quality both in images and video are good enough for the best of professionals
Nice you videos
Thank you so much 😊
