I bought a Nuvo toot today
All are in the key of j
😊❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤
This helped me play a dude
Great, now waiting for BassClarinéo, jOboe and Bassoné
Even though it has the word Dood in the title, it does not even use it😂
You can take them anywhere other than your mom and your dad
What are reward rings on the recorder?
They are silicone rings on the bell of the recorder. They can be removed for students to "earn them back" - a fun incentive for practicing!
What are the black dots on the recorder?
@@Aiden45-w They are plugs that can be removed if you want to play chromatic notes.

Hi first one to comment
My foot joint is so tight that I can't rotate it, even with it lubed up. Any suggestions???
Is this the first time you are attaching the footjoint? If so, it's supposed to be tight the first time. When you rotate it on the first use, you are actually shaving off the tiniest bit to ensure that you will have a super secure fit every time going forward. So don't be afraid to really give it some effort and rotate the footjoint away from you. If you continue to have problems, contact us here: www.nuvoinstrumental.com/contact/
Wow I was surprised with the jHorn and its wide range for such a small instrument.
I think your product line is incredible. I would love to see a band play a piece using only NUVO instruments.
Thank you! We are working on that, stay tuned!
I have. A TOOT AT HOME BUT I bring it home on a Thursday morning

One or two of my key cap covers keep falling out. Is there a glue or some other way of fixing them securely to the flute?
Yes, you can use a small amount of superglue under each key cap to keep them securely in place.
@@WindStarsEducation OK thank you very much.
🤩
Wow u are super
Where is the J horn demo?
This video was created before the jHorn was released! You can learn all about the jHorn here: ruclips.net/video/aEXeWAaWnJs/видео.html
That's a good choice to musical education!
I am also with the teacher Miss P in music class I have those
You’re not supposed to puff your cheeks when you blow you’re supposed to try to keep your cheeks not puffed and don’t go as hard
They are so nice just find out this today! Always thought about flute but the real one seemed so hard. The only instrument you have not is violin and cello are you gonna to make then in the feature to? 😊 I have one I just asking.
Thanks for your question. We don't have any immediate plans for strings but we will keep this suggestion in mind! 😊
@@WindStarsEducation Because it's hard to learn to this instrument. Just a thought 😊 Is the trumpet, the flute and the sax hard to blow into? Even if you can controll your I mean breath controll and now how to blow when you test "real" instrument. Thanks! 😊
@@Patczek It's not hard to blow into the instruments but you will need to learn how to set your mouth properly to get a sound. We have videos on this channel as well as the main @nuvoinstrumental RUclips channel showing you everything you need to know!
@@WindStarsEducation Like I thought, correctly I know thanks! 😊
Awesome!! I can't wait to start Tooting in 2022!
It's amazing to have this choice for kids and adults wanting to get into learning a new instrument alike!
We are so happy that you think so!
These are all wonderful instruments especially the Clarineo. I want to learn the clarinet one day and I feel like the Clarineo would be an awesome choice before moving to the Bb clarinet. Who knows what you guys will come up with next? 👍
Thanks for your comment! The Clarinéo would be a great starter instrument to prepare for the B-flat clarinet. We are working on some new instruments and hope to release them in 2022, stay tuned!
@@WindStarsEducation Can the jHorn be pitched to low Bb, like the Baritone Horn? My son is tiny, and can't manage my euphonium.
@@wookiee1807 Yes it can! The jHorn comes with tuning slides so it can be pitched in the key of Bb or C. The instruction booklet that comes with the instrument will show you how to easily change keys.
Is this channel still active? Thought there would be more music videos for students?
We are still creating more play along videos and have over 75 already uploaded! Check out our playlists to see the collection. Are you looking for a specific tune?
thank you I actually have a flute and I do not know how to put it together
Happy to help! Which part are you having trouble with?
Saludos. Soy un flautista Folklorista con más de 30 años de trayectoria, he grabado más de 10 discos,me gustaría promocionar sus flautas, saxofones y clarineos en México, como puedo hacer para conseguir sus productos?.
You can search NUVO distributors worldwide at: www.nuvoinstrumental.com/find-a-distributor/
Onde comprar essa flauta ?
There is a list of NUVO dealers worldwide on the website: www.nuvoinstrumental.com/find-a-distributor/
I have a friend with dyspraxia and I know they have an interest in music. Are these nuvo instruments something I could point them towards? They particularly have interest in the flute, but I don't know anything about that instrument at all. Is one of them more suited to someone with a motor disorder like that? They are an adult, if a bit of a small one.
The jFlute is shorter; the donut headjoint brings the flute in closer to the body than a traditional straight flute. All NUVO instruments are incredibly lightweight so many people find it easier to play and less straining on their arms and hands. Each situation is different but I would recommend looking into the jFlute: www.nuvoinstrumental.com/products/flute/
I played trumpet for 7 years and had to give it up to keep up with engineering studies. Now I'm picking up music again and I'm wondering if I should get a jhorn. It looks like a neat little thing that could help me re-learn.
The jHorn is a fun instrument for adults and comes with three mouthpiece cups for high, middle and low brass. You could use the high brass mouthpiece or a metal trumpet mouthpiece as most are compatible with the jHorn. The jHorn not an exact substitute for the trumpet of course but it would be a fun way to get back into playing!
Bb is prolly the best tune for instruments in my opinion
The jHorn comes with tubes so it can be pitched in C or B flat!
@@WindStarsEducation ok
Hello ... on the saxophone can I use bamboo reeds? If so, would it be alto sax or soprano sax reeds? Thank you ...
Great question! You can use soprano saxophone cane reeds (as well as E-flat clarinet reeds).
@@WindStarsEducation Thank you very much for answering ... I have one more question ... could I adapt a soprano saxophone mouthpiece?Obrigado
@@jz7532 Some, yes! We have personally tested the Yamaha 4C soprano saxophone mouthpiece and it does fit. It might at first seem like it doesn’t because it doesn’t cover both o-rings but it still seals and the tip is at the same place as the tip of the Nuvo mouthpiece. I know some people have tried Jody Jazz soprano saxophone mouthpieces as well but I don't know which exact models will work so you might have to do some trial and error.
@@WindStarsEducation Thank you very much for answering, I am a Sax and Flute teacher ... as Sax venova can use a soprano sax mouthpiece, I thought Jsax could adapt it too ... I will buy a Jsax and do experiments and recommend it for beginning students. ..OK thank you!!!
@@jz7532 Wonderful! Let us know if any other questions come up. :)
Great ideas to make it easier for kids to approach the world of wind instruments..
Thank you Paolo!
great video. Thank you.

but howw do i learn to play the dood
Yes
Good question! NUVO has a RUclips channel with some great videos to get your started. You can check out the playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLS-IKjau6GxFdUKroavx8bZF1ut0lUWTp
@@WindStarsEducation the playlist is not so helpful imo
@@Daniel-dj7fh NUVO also offers free downloadable PDF books called "Play it Today" and you may find those helpful. There is a book for the Dood: www.nuvoinstrumental.com/resources/learning-materials/
I am an adult amateur musician learning the recorder for fun. I have developed arthritis and neuropathy in both hands and thought I might to have to give up playing recorder. Someone gifted me a Nuvo+ Recorder recently and I love it already, I it's so lightweight and my fingers hardly strain at all to form notes. It's extremely comfortable for me to play and has a good sound! Kudos from an adult fan of your product!
Thank you for your comment Lori! We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying the Recorder+! Best wishes on your musical journey.
Hello! What kind of soap do you mix in the water? Would dishwashing liquid be safe? Or will antibacterial hand soap do? Thank you!
Thanks for your question! Dishwashing liquid would be safe, just be sure to rinse the instruments thoroughly and let them air dry. Antibacterial hand soap is also safe. Anything you would use to disinfect a typical surface can be used on NUVO instruments with the exception of bleach as it would strip the colors away.
I highly appriciate these instruments. I play a lot of string instruments but NEVER found the way to blown instruments, untill I found the Nuvo Dood which I ordered just for fun and now I love it. And, yes, I can play on it an dthe tones are more or less in the right pitch, unless u forget blowing in the correct way. I also ordered the jsax 2 and the flutes now. Looking foreward to have more fun with them. Without Nuvo I would have given up to play reed instrumets. Thank you.
Regarding the Nuvo flute, I would like to add that it's a great instrument for even an experienced flutist. I take mine places I would be hesitant to take my professional model flute, including the beach or on hikes. If I accidentally drop it in the creek, or fall into the creek with it in my backpack, it comes through the experience unscathed. I took it on a tour to Israel a few years ago, and it was baptized with me in the Jordan River. It is, in other words, the ideal "goofing off" flute.
Oboe and Bassoon would be better yet!
Thanks for your feedback! We will take it under advisement.
nah
HOW?! I want to see those being released but having double reeds seem unrealistic. I would love to see jOboe/jBassoon though
Me encata, obiamente es para empezar pero esta genial, saludos desde México.
Thanks Antonio!
As I understand it, Nuvo promotes their Instruments as a pre-band 'Bridge' for younger players. There is another group of people that could benefit from such instruments. That other group in society are the (Musical Instrument beginner) Seniors who would like to learn to play an Instrument that does not involve the high cost of a more advanced instrument and is easier to play for their ageing hands.
Thanks for your comment! We absolutely agree with you. The WindStars curriculum was specifically designed for school and beginners but NUVO instruments can be played by learners at any age! We know of many adults and senior groups that benefit from the durability and lightness of the instruments.
Could you show us how to play Ode to Joy! thank you
I can`t understand why there isn`t more interest in this range. Sure they`re not true brass but what fantastic sound, inexpensive, light. I`m blown away.
Thank you! We are proud of the instruments and WindStars curriculum and interest is rapidly growing!
they want to keep the punks on guitars and stop them from learning jazz
I want all of the instruments. ... These are so fun!!!! So ready for everyone to give music a go!
awesome
I don’t think I want to pass it on right about now tho...
Very true with the social distancing in place right now, but at least you can easily disinfect the entire instrument by washing it with soap and hot water.
Heh just a joke
