Got to love these nerds mad about 15.ai. Like sentence mixing and 15.ai are both things that can exist and be entertaining, just cause you can't make good videos with 15.ai doesn't mean other's can't also lets not ingore how people would reuse jokes or lines when making smexuals.

15.ai is not a bad site, I know that the creator put in a lot of effort. I think there is charm to both text to speech and sentence mixing. (Also, the creator isn't a dick.)
You say low-effort in a bad way, I say low-effort means any average joe can use the voice of the TF2 cast. Plus, you said sentence mixing could take hours, with ia.15 as of v23.3.5 it take seconds. I made scout say that to test it, and it took 7.226 seconds It's like quality or quantity.
Here's an idea. If someone doesn't like 15.ai, then they shouldn't use it! There. I just solved EVERYONE'S problem. Now those who like it can use it, and those can stick to traditional sentence-mixing!

To me, using this in general is not low-effort. However the way people are using it is low-effort. Everyone in the TF2 community (Not all) are just making the same video again, and again. It's always; Demo finds this, Demo catches someone watching this, it's so repetitive. I want to see people do more with this ai, like SFM's and Gmod animations etc. I've only seen one Gmod animation that use 15.ai, which is "Sniper Gets the Intel" and that's it. It's such wasted potential.
Yeah definitely, that's the stuff I was referencing when I was saying "everything sounds the same." Good stuff will probably get made, but right now it's just the same couple concepts getting recycled over and over
