Thanks, Patricia!
Some of those old roots tunes seem to inspire mandolinists, fiddlers, banjoists and guitarists.
One of my favorite of the Beatles. Bravo for the very nice cover of it 👏. Like 👍
Thanks so much! I had an interesting time translating Sir Paul’s piano stylings into guitar. That and the vocal phrasing have a certain jazziness I started to appreciate all the more when I started to play it myself.
Loving it. Very soulful and feels honest
Hi the Reg…thanks so much….It’s another song I’ve really come to like.
<3 Thank you .. sang right along with ya :)
@@LindaLouise625 Hi Linda…thanks for the encouragement….it”s great song! All the best, Mike
A great old Ian Tyson song that Neil Young covered in fine style. I sing it too, but I've not put my rendition on youtube yet. You perform it well!

Thanks, the Reg…one of my faves to play…

Hi Bruce…thanks so much for the encouragement! Mike
loving it
@@regszikora695 Thanks, the Reg!
what a lovely song
I was like its quite high anyway, how is it capo on 3. Then I heard the voice. Okay I get it. I thought my voice deep, but i changed my mind
@@teib757 Good observation there. You wouldn’t want to sing higher than Neil, who is in D. I’m in open E tuning, so the capo puts it in G. Thanks for listening.
@@nellaekim88 oh Yeah he does go high a lot especially with grit. My problem is that the song is fine, but then there is that one note or two in the song thats low for me Then I transpose it higher and now that became the new problem, him singing high. Like with Old Man
@@teib757 Yeah, it’s always a challenge to find the right key for your voice. I know I’ve done a lot of experimenting with that.
Not a musician myself, still, I do think this song is a hard one to play. GREAT job!
Thank you…well I jazzed up the guitar part a bit.
I love this, well done good sir
Always a pleasure, the Reg!
Nice job!
@@dobrobob Thanks, Bob, and keep playing that dobro. One of my students attended a workshop where Jerry Douglas was one of the teachers.

So nice... really! I like the song, I like the playing, I like the singing... and I like both paintings in the background!
@@nenadhorvat6152 Hi Nenad…thanks for writing in, and thanks on four counts, the music, the vocal and the paintings! All the best, Mike
loving it, awesome and SAD !!!
Thanks, the Reg! Despite its theme being sadness, it always gives me a boost, because it’s all about the power of song.
